New to the Forum
Hello all. Just logging in to introduce myself to the forum. I picked up my 2005 Mini Cooper a few weeks ago. It's a black base model with the sport option. I love it but I've noticed that I can't stop going fast now. 70 mph comes so quickly. I never had to watch the speed before.....This is definitely the most fun I've had behind the wheel.

Welcome aboard and Congrats!!! No speeding tickets now....wouldn't you rather have that "fine" money for mods??? You're right - it's hard to keep these motoring machines at a slow pace...

Watch your speed during break-in. And then watch your speed after break-in. I caught myself doing 82 mph (digital readout on the tiny tach) once in my MCSa and could not believe it. It felt like 55. So now I watch the speedo all the time. I had no idea these cars are so f-a-s-t. I could have been just as happy with a Cooper. Best wishes.
