Just ordered '06 MCS today!

Hi Everyone...

My first post here - I've been browsing the last few weeks, but now that I finally just put in the order for an '06 Space Blue Cooper S, thought I'd sign up officially.

I'm super excited and am totally counting down the days like everybody else. Unfortunately I have to wait for late Dec/early Jan delivery, as I'm in Nov production and located on the west coast. Dealership said I was the first to order a Space Blue MINI there so thought that was kind of cool.

I'm sure to post a lot more, and I think the forum is great - already have learned so much!

Welcome and congrats on the MINI. I didn't know you couldn't get a white roof with Space Blue. Thet seems strange.

FIRST PIC OF "AUSTIN"

After waiting several painful months we picked up our Mini in KC last Saturday (August 6th) It was completely worth the wait. What an amazing car. I have owned several performance cars in the past but, now are nearly as much fun as the Mini. It's so great! You really have the impression that you are driving a very special car. You won't fully understand until you drive one. Here are my specs

2005 MCS
CR/W
black leatherette
LSD
On-board computer
Extra gauges
white bonnet stripes
chrome interior
chrome grill
16" wheels
body color interior ( dash and door panels)
arm rest
driving lights
Thick rubber "S" floor and boot mats
MFSW

Jonnaro, did you order it with the checkmate package? It was my understanding that you can get SB with a white (or black) roof, but if you order the checkmate package, you can only get a silver or black roof.

The Space Blue/Silver is what I wanted on my '06, but we had to hold off ordering for a while - hope to see one soon, I think that combination is gonna look way cool. . .

Yes, the silver roofs will probably look really neat. I just hope that EVERYONE doesn't order silver roof. . . .

We're giving purple haze/silver a try. . . .

just tweaked my order again after reading more of the forums... decided to add the cold weather and convenience packages, and remove the xenon headlamps and dsc.

how many times have you guys tweaked your MINI orders?? i doubt i'm the only one as there are so many choices!

I tweaked mine once (added blue leather & blue interior). I know I won't tweak it again. Dang, it practically has everything except for the JCW stuff & the aero package anyway. I'll get a body kit & performance stuff later. Hopefully I'll get the car in early to mid October. Until then, welcome to the dance-in-your-pants-waiting-game. Don't forget to keep checking MINI.com for the status of your car, again and again and again all day long.

I tweaked mine like 10 times . My MA was still friendly and willing to make the changes! The more you read the forums, and the more you go look at the options in person, the better feel you'll get for what you really want. By the time mine went into production, I was certain that I had my perfect MINI

Thanks to you the wife and I decided to go to South Bay and ordered an 06 MCS last sunday. This saturday we will be going BACK to South Bay and changing the order.
How many times have you changed yours since the intial order and when did they tell you that you could pick it up. Jennifer told us December.

I agree! My first MINI had the standard headlights and the Xenons in my 2003 MCS are really superior! I also love the H/K system. Congrats on the new order! SB/S sounds like a very sharp combo!
