2005 MCS with nav

I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to post this but mods are welcome to move it. i'm new here and ive been pretty interested in getting an MCS and have been looking into used ones. thats why i joined NAM. i found a 2005 with the sport and conveniece packages with navigation for $24,900 with about 10,000 miles on it. is this a good price? its not at a mini dealer so is there a possibility of that price comming down? thanks

If you spec a 2006 with only Sport and Convenience package and Nav, it comes to $25,100 - so I'd say either negotiate HARD or just get a new one if you're willing to spend $25K. You get a NEW car, and to your exact specs.
FWIW, I got a used 2004, all packages, leather and Nav w/22K for $21K.

Good advise

You might even pay less then MSRP on a new car if you call around and find one configured acceptably sitting on a dealer's lot.

The price may seem high to some for the used MINI. That is because the cars keep their value so well.

thanks for your input everyone. i just got off the phone with the dealership and he said they're not too flexible with the prices, said maybe $500-$600 off. gonna go test drive it tomorrow and talk it over with the family.

I'd say go in and offer $23K max. 10K miles and ~1 year old is worth at least 10%. They want it that bad, they can keep it.

Think of the reverse - would you let someone put 10K miles on your car for $700? Not much of a waiting list these days - you could spec a car and be driving it in a few months (assuming you're not in desperate need of a car.)

I'm a used car fan (never bought new) and looked for well over a year before I found a deal compelling enough not to buy new.

Best of luck!

Wait, I'm confused - you would be getting the $500-$600 off a new car on a dealer lot right? That's what I thought you meant since in your first post about the used one with 10k on it you said "its not at a mini dealer"?

Otherwise I wouldn't say that was enough off the stated amount for the used car.

yes this is a used car dealership, i'm in no rush to get a new car it would be nice though. im gonna go test drive it this weekend cuz ive never driven an MCS before and see if i like it. if i do ill either keep looking to a good price on a used one or looking at it now it will probably be a better idea to spec one out and have it new. mini isnt going anywhere and i could wait another year for one. thanks again!
