Ok, I just got back from my first club ride (AtlantaMINI). We toured the mountains around Chattanooga, TN. Excellent trip! Time to go to bed. Exhausted.

teej - I just know you're not going to be able to make it thru the break in period. Great ride you got there!

Red Ryder - To post a pic in a reply on a thread you'll have to first find a place online that you can store them. I use MSN's Spaces. If you use that you'll have to change a setting to make your site available for all to see. Make sure you use the "Preview my site" and call up the picture(s) you want to post in the reply. When you've done that you'll want to right click on the actual picture itself and select Properties. A new box will pop up. Select everything on the Location: line. Copy and then past that in the address window when you click on the Insert Image icon in the reply window. Clear as mud, right? Right!

roehrigs - That is so great that you'll be rawkin' & rollin' this next weekend!

Ok. I am not trying to be a big brat, but honestly, the guy in Hawaii gets his MINI before I get mine? (Stomping my foot and pouting).

Really, congrats to all. They are beautiful!!!

I am expecting mine sometime in the next 2 weeks. It is still at the VDC.

well... if that is the way it happens, that is kinda' messed up!!!!

I expect my pickup on the 21st or 22nd... all depends on how fast the shipping company delivers it from the docks to the mini dealer....about 4 miles away...

Me being in Hawaii added about 7 days to the delivery date....:impatient

Hang in there Superflysarah! I find it strange that Phinneus is going to be so late in getting to you. I think it's a reflection that every VDC is different. Is there any pressure your dealership can put on them to get the lead out? Should we start a petition? Keep a stiff upper lip.

I'll put up a updated list of everyone's status soon. Icarus - 825 miles.

If you have yours post how many miles you're at now.

Thanks.....
I'm hanging in there. A little cranky, but hanging in there. My husband called our dealer, which incidently is the same one as minibot, and harassed them this morning. EDD is next Monday with anticipated pick up date of Saturday/Sunday the 29th 0r 30th. I am going to push to try to have them finish up on that Friday or else, because of a crazy work schedule, I won't be able to pick it up until the following Thursday.

Btw, Icarus is really hot stuff. I am kicking myself for not getting the HO cabrio now.

Thanks! What's really cool is the display color matches the body color dash. It looks so cool at night/dusk/dawn. I keep forgetting to get a shot of that and the piping on the blue leather...it's orange too.

Magoo is here

Have had Mr. Magoo for several weeks, but just got around to applying the stripes.

The new antenna is "Floyd". He only lights on the roof when the camera is around.

Wow, I like your stripes there. Where did you get them? I'm still debating stripes for Miles, but we'll see.

I had a MINI moment today. Giant grin after it. superflysarah would understand, I think, where Montlake Boulevard merges onto 520 West, and onto I-5 South. So much fun.

Floyd and the Stubby Antenna

Red Ryder

Didn't Floyd like the orginal antenna? Who's antenna did you put on Mr. Magoo?

The stripes came from CooperStripes. They are two color, silver with a metallic slate as an outline. I did not want the typical black, but thought that the silver would match the wheels and chrome. They also made a set of lip prints with the Union Jack (as lip color) that I have in the rear window.

The antenna is an Alta Stubby, works great, and I can still get the same distant stations that I had with the original. Also it is easier for Floyd to sit on.

Did you mean Cooper flags? or Mighty Stripes?
I got my graphics from Mike w/ Aesthticreations and I will highly recommend him. I love my graphics!

Thanks MightyMouse51 - I am a proud parent of her!

Well, I got am email from my MA on Tuesday that said that Phinneus is still at the VDC and that I should not expect to see him for about 2 1/2 weeks.
I am really not sure what is happening. All that I can think of is that something happened to him during transport and they needed to buff him up a little before letting him hit the road to Seattle. Does this happen????

Meanwhile, I am living vicariously through you all.

It took Miles roughly five days to make it from vessel to NW MINI. I think it sounds like Phinneus might have gotten some damage during shipping.
