Used 02 S Or New 06 Non S

What do think, a used S or order a new non S, Both about the same money.
Any problems with 2002 S models ?

I'd get the new car... from what I understand it's still an absolute blast to drive and you wouldn't have to worry about any maintenance stuff like you would used. the chances that the S was beat on are also higher than a used non-s.

Even for a bit higher price - NEW.

YOU get the warranty from day one.
YOU get to break it in.
YOU know the entire history of the car.

Sure, you're giving up some HP, but you're also getting a 4-year newer car. For me, it's a no-brainer. . .

Buy the 06' And yes - there were some known issues with the early 02' models...

If the '02 MCS is the same as an '06 MC, I must assume that either the MCS is hugely overpriced, or it is loaded.

There is about $3K difference between MC & MCS new, and I think an '02 must have depreciated more than $3K by now - probably $5K minimum.

Are there other "goodies" on the MCS that you must forgo to get the new MC? Are these important to you?


That said, the benefit of a brand new car with full warranty and spec'ed the way you want it is probably a better bet than extra horsepower - but only you can decide.
