JCW air filter

I'm in the process of putting together an order for a 2006 MCS and just wanted to know if anyone has experience with the JCW air filter yet. I don't want to go the route of the expence of the whole JCW but I'm looking to get a better air filter then stock and improved hp to go with it if the ad is correct on this filter set.

Any feedback is appreciated before I put on order.

Thanks,

Plenty of experience - do a search.

it's very cool. the only real day to day benefit is the sound over 4500 rpm though. all of its power lives up there and at high speeds. i've had and then removed it and the car feels more or less the same to me. i think it integrates better into the full jcw kit when installed that way, but it does add some kick at high revs.

good luck! - drew

I have the JCW air filter on my 05 MCS and from what I can tell, the only real difference is the sound. But I'm sure that the more experienced will know the finer details. I was thinking about swapping it for alternatives (maybe an ALTA or ULTRIK/K&N) but I'm still doing research on it. I do notice that when I'm in the lower gears I tend to hear a "popping" sound at the exhaust once in a while but I have no idea if the JCW air filter attributes to this.
