Thanks DiD for the update! I talked to someone at the dealership yesterday, not sure what her title is, but she told me she schedules all the dealer work to be done on your car and sets up the delivery date. She says as soon as the car reaches the port, she will call to ask for my key options, anything dealer installed, etc. They will also ask then about how I'm going to pay for this. She says average delivery date is about 5-6 days after that so I'm looking at around November 4-5 if the Patriot stays on time.

 

looks like you guys are just going to make it before your ship gets pummeled by Wilma

 

If the storm track is correct, I hope they keep the ship in the NJ port an extra day. It looks to me like they would be running into Wilma!!!!!!!!

You're right on the money DiD. I just received a response from Vince at Schomp (great guy -- very helpful and knowledgeable) that my Mini is scheduled to arrive at port on Nov. 11. So estimated pick up date for me is late Nov...

 

Cool.

Nice to see they now agree with my original prediction that a delivery around Thanksgiving would be about right (end of December/early January. ).

 

Don't worry about it. My MINI has the rain sensing wipers so it will be OK.

Wait on second though, I didn't get DSC so maybe she'll be wobbling around the deck.

WW now reports Topaz Ray now due in NY 10/22. Two days late.

 

Our MA at Long Beach Mini is a little more optimistic; she told us the ship is scheduled to arrive at the port 11/6.

 

There are two different ships.

I called my MA today and he said it would be at port around 11/6. I forgot to ask him what ship and port, but he said it would be docking in California, so I'm assuming Port Hueneme. Can't wait!

I just checked the K-line sight and it now says that the DYVI Pamplona is not to arrive until the 25th. I guess we can wait one more day.

Grrrr....the 2WGlobal page is down today so I can't check the status of the ship. How annoying.

Funny thing is that I emailed them just last week because I found a security vulnerability on their Oracle database that they were using for cargo tracking. Maybe they are patching today.

TahoeT, Here's the checklist that I've compiled so far:

1) Verify purchased options.
2) Check paint, bumpers, panel fit for imperfections
3) Check wheels for curb scuff/imperfections..
4) Lock/unlock doors and boot via remote and keys.
5) Open/close windows via lock.
6) Confirm both windows drop just before doors open.
7) Check windscreen/windows for stress cracks.
8) Check both interior door panels for fit and finish.
9) Check dash fit and finish.
10) Check seats for imperfections.
11) Check rear seat fold.
12) Check interior panels, headliner for imperfections.
13) Check both seat adjustments and rear passenger access fold/slide.
14) Operate all wipers. Xenon headlights - operate headlight washers.
15) Check window operation.
16) Check door locks (interior toggle).
17) Check exterior mirrors adjustment and heating.
18) Check radio/CD operation.
19) Check on-board computer functions.
20) Check ASC on/off toggle switch
21) Open bonnet.
22) Start engine, listen for unusual sounds.
23) With engine running inspect engine compartment.
24) Take a drive, check shifting, pull to right or left, unusual sounds, heater/air conditioning operation.
25) Upon return, and with engine running, check engine compartment for any leaks, splashes, etc.
26) Heated seats
27) Check glove compartment door locks and unlocks.
28) Tire pressure
29) Believe it or not, check each tire for proper rotation direction
30) Check programming options have been set correctly
31) Fluid levels (oil, coolant, brakes)

 

Aw pooh. I just found out! Darn!! Guess we didn't have a captain that was a speed demon or anything. Looks like he stopped for a few beers someplace. Hope he could park it when he arrived.

 

Just checked www site and the Topaz Ray has docked into New York!!!
Man I haven't received my 06 SB Cooper S with checkmate package yet and I already ordered over $1500 in parts for it.

Now I gotta wait for Mini of the Hamptons to get it and then put it on a truck to ship it all the way to the west coast to me in Las Vegas.
