Very cool, it looks like our babies are on the way!

 

According to ASK MINI my MINI finished production yesterday (10/2) as was expected. It is now in status "hand over to carrier" which means it's still at the factory, but should be handed over either today or tomorrow for shipment. Hopefully it and the rest of the week 40 MINIs will make the 10/5 or 10/6 departure. :impatient

 

I checked again today and now the shipping site shows my MINI being shipped on the "Courage" which leaves Southhampton on Oct 6 and arrives in Charlestown on Oct 19. This is a full two weeks earlier

We just found out that LYDIA passed inspection today and is waiting for a ride to the boat. We hope to see all of you on the COURAGE!!!!!

According to the ASK-MINI folks, looks like Zephyr will be finished Oct. 8. The next boat out to the West Coast, the Isolde, doesn't leave until Oct. 18, arriving in Cali Nov. 10. With time at the VDC and then shipping to Colorado, looks like the end of Nov for actual delivery to the dealer... (I'm estimating late so I may be pleasantly surprised :smile

You bros should count yourselves as lucky!

 

Well.. she's done. I am now stalking the shipping sites and hoping for info soon! :smile:

 

No information from the shipper yet for mine. From reading some of the threads for earlier builds some MINIs didn't show up on the WW site until they were loaded.

Production Week 40 Also. . . . ! I may run into a little delay due to the JCW options I ordered on my MCS. . I heard BMW/MINI was having a little assembly line glitches and MCS with the JCW options maybe delayed a little. I hope that's not the case ! Has anyone else heard this rumor?

Anyway, I ordered a 2006 MCS JCW, Space Blue (one solid color) and can't wait to get it. My dealer projected the end or October for delivery (Oh, I currently live and work in Germany, so shipping doesn't take as long).

it's not a rumor, the start of production for factory JCW installation has been delayed until somewhere between week 42 and week 45.

Well, my car got a VIN number today. Production is supposed to be this week, so I'm in limbo about what week that officially makes it. I did attend the monthly meeting of the Houston Mini Motoring Society this past Saturday, and the veterans there told me if my car was built the first week of a month, I would probably see it by the end of that month here!

 

Just checked the WW and no shipping info:impatient .

probably your car is not shipping on the WW lines... might be NYK or K Line which are harder to track...

 

Ask MINI says mine was finished today. WW shows me on the Topaz Ray leaving for NY on 10/11. Due in NY on 10/20:smile:

ASK MINI says my MINI arrived at the port on Monday, but couldn't say for sure if it had been handed over to the shipper.

As of this morning, the OL now shows Awaiting Transport, still no options listed though.

Update WW Site: Topaz Ray departing 10/11, arriving NY10/20 one day early.

Must be expecting a tail wind. :smile:

Now if I can only get on the Maersk Wind that leaves tomorrow.

 

Last night I saw my first 2006 in the flesh. It was a Chili Red / Silver MC and it looked spectacular.
