06 MCS On Order Introduction
Just wanted to introduce myself. I will be the proud owner of a 06 MCS with pretty much everything short of the JCW package. According to my dealer, the car should arrive in late October or early November. Just in time for SEMA. I will be sure to keep an eye out for new MINI products out there and report back to the forum.
Hope all is well with everyone and be on the look out for new posts from a rabid fan turned owner.

Just ordered my '06 S
I just ordered my Mini S in Chili Red, white roof, premium package, arm rest, floor mats and HAD to get the checkered mirrors! I was trying to keep the costs down by not loading it up with the extras.
I have been driving (and will keep) my Surburban...I still need it to haul things...but now I will have something ecconomical to haul ME!
I'm waiting to find out the details from my dealer so I can watch the progress. They told me 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Paid $23,339 to dealer in TN.

Thanks for the welcome into the group.
I ordered it a few weeks back from Moritz in Forth Worth. They charge MSRP and that is what I paid.
Here in So Cal, most dealers were quoting $5k over MSRP or were promising delivery dates in January.
As for the JCW kit, I gave it some serious thought. But for $6, I can pick up a shifter kart, which makes more sense for/to me. And the JCW brake kit has yet to impress me, the rotor diameter increase is nominal and I have yet to find a pad shape for the caliper. The stock MINI front pad has numerous friction options, so no need to mess with a good thing.

Hi Duane, and congratulations. Are you driving your Mini home to So Cal? Do you have a production date? All I get is "your Mini is currently scheduled for production with no completion date" when I call, which is almost every day. What is it with these obsession inducing cars anyway?
