Greetings from Italy!
hi all dudes, this is my first post here...
I'm Albert and I live in the wonderful (at least for the roads...) Italy, and I'm here to get some knowledge about setting my Cooper S that arrived about 2 weeks ago...
I'm a tuner and I always do all the finest modifies on my car in order to make them as better as they can be.
The Citroen Saxo VTS that I had until the August, 21st was simply PERFECT... 130+ bhp on 910kg mass were absolutely impressive and "she" was so nice to drive... unfortunately, a stupid 18th guy thought to crash on my side and the car is over
Anyway, I've replaced her after a week with a wonderful Mini Cooper S of 2003 (163hp)... but as I aim the performance, there's a lot of work to do on this baby!
in order:
- ECU remapping
- panel K&N filter
- one ball exhaust modify
- perfect toe alignment
- dot 5.1 racing brake fluid
- Ferodo DS2500 brake pads
- Powerflex PFF5-101 and PFR5-110 bushes
- Bridgestone RE040 tires (or maybe Kumho KU31, I'll see)
- 22mm rear sway bar
- lighter wheel alloys
- Sparco REV seats
- weight loss program
- camber plates
- adjustable rear arms
I'd like to install also a Quaife ATB differential but it's an expensive thing and I have to think well about it
Anyway, I'm trying to make this MINI cornering FAST and exit FASTER... and, of course, braking better
I'm also a maniac of weight reduction and if I started with this car promising that I'll never remove the carpet... uhm... it will be an important decision
I'll keep you informed and I hope you will help me when and if I'll have some troubles...
see you.... CIAO!
PS: here's a nice "postcard" of the MINI "great sister" from the place where I live, Riccione... hope you like it

Ciao, Albert:
Riccione is a resort on the Adriatic coast. I have heard of it. Must be beautiful this time of year. I can understand why you want to tweek the MINI's handling--lots of winding roads. Maybe you can post a pic of your MINI and include some of Riccione in the background.
Thanks for dropping by.
