Been "lurking" around here since we ordered our Space Blue MC with CVT Sept.1st. Finally learned production is week 41 (Oct 10-14). Just so happens my birthday is Oct 14...wouldn't that be nice! As it appears to be customary to name your "baby" we've decided to call him "IRA"..in honor of the 401-K which is providing the funds for this venture.
Ira should arrive in Tampa mid-November according to latest estimates. That's a long time to wait, but it'll be worth it.
Oh, forgot to mention, it will have a Silver top ! Way cool !

Congratulations on your Mini. I named my convertible mini Miss Molly. I wanted to name her, but I couldn't think of one that I liked. Then, as she and I were cruising around, her name just popped into my head. I wasn't even trying to think of a name at that time. I don't know where the name came from, but it sure fits her, so Molly it is! It seems to suit her well, I think! I think Ira is a cute name for a car too. I like seeing all the different names people have come up with for their Mini's. They sure are more than just cars, aren't they. I feel kind of bummed out when I meet someoene with a Mini and they didn't/aren't going to name it
. They have so much personality that they need names too!
