new Indiana member w/ mini madness car
hello gang! I just came across this site yesterday and was amazed at all of the info I found. I have been a member of mini2 for years and didnt know it could get better than that but then I found this. I am on my 13th new mini. I have a company that buys and sells damaged mini's. I am in the process now of rebuilding a 2003 mini S to keep for myself as a race/street car. Some of you may be familar w/ this car as it used to be the Mini Madness website car (it is still on there on certain screen shots). it is the dark silver car w/ the orciari body kit, gold everything (emblems, door handles, gas lid, volks, etc). I bought the car earlier this year not knowing what all it had. I bought it from an insurance auction as it had been totalled out for some major front end damage (and some decent rear damage as well). The day after getting it I was approached by the previous owner because he wanted his personalized license plate off of the car. He gave me all the build sheets and receipts for the car and that is when I realized I was going to have a fun little car once it was finished. hers a list of goodies-
mini madness power package w/
bigger throttle body
cold air kit
pulley
water to air intercooler
high flow intake
big valve head
schrick cam
header
milltek ex.
full roll cage
kw adjustable suspension kit
limited slip diff
lightweight flywheel
high perf. clutch
camber plates
hot wires
adjustable rear upper andlower control arms
short shift kit
etc. etc.
and to think , I thought I had bought a stock mini s....
I am finishing up the frame work this week and hoping toget the car ready for paint in the next couple of weeks.
thanks again for the great website, I wish I would have found it earlier!

Just picked up my first MINI on Friday Sept. 16, 2005 and wanted to let all other MINI lovers know how excited I am! I am very bad at the computer so I will ask my question now and hope I can find the answer by mistake like I found this place to write my message. When is the next road trip and how do I sign up to participate?

Welcome
Clint and shotlady,
Welcome to NAM! I hope you enjoy spending time here and getting to know some of the great members here.
Clint, I guess if you haven't dealt with D & R as far as buying a new MINI, then they wouldn't have told you about the local club. Don't know how else you would find out except them or another local owner. Anyways, MINI CCI (Car Club of Indiana) is the name of the group. There are always Sunday drives and monthly meetings happening. Please join us for one or many! And D & R sponsors a couple of fun rallys each year. Go to the regional/local forum here at NAM
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...aysprune=&f=96
or go to the club website
http://www.minicci.org/
I hope we get to see you soon!
There are some locals who are into autoX and speed enhancements you may enjoy hooking up with, too. Ask for more info.
Shotlady, are you in Indiana, too? If so, same for you - join us. If not, look up your own local club under

find a group and introduce yourself.

Now you have two sets of forums to read. Three if you visit MINI2.
