The only thing I don't like about mine is when it gets the DBS(Dirty Butt Syndrome). So I'm constantly washing it.

But when it's clean...it's BAAAAD.

And your roof looks great, too. If I hadn't got the cabrio, I would have wanted yours!

My MINI and I prefer the term "Dirty Boot Syndrome", because she is a lady after all

Thanks for the compliment.

Hey purplefreak60,

Thanks for the PM, if you want to replay to this thread just hit the replay button at the bottom the the message. We almost went with the white wheels, then I thought about the brake dust, and the way I like to drive (maybe a little aggressive )(my wife would say alot). The wheels would be brake dust black more than white, so we went with the gray.

Thanks, I'll give he a try. I agree with DBS. We have had the MINI for a week and washed it twice already.

We get to show PPE off at a small gathering tonight. Looking forward to it.
Be proud to have a Purple Haze, perhaps the most underappreciated color that is available!

Thanks for all the great pics this color. I ordered mine sight unseen...in fact I still have not seen a MINI this color in person. I am sure he will be even more beautiful than I can imagine! I hope to pick him up in early December...yay!

It seems like there aren't that many of us Purples out there. I am going to do a search for more purple threads.......... I can think of only a small handful of purple owners that I know of..

Its funny, I'd seen BEP in person before but never realized how dark it was really until one drove by us yesterday on the freeway. It was bright and sunny but the purpleness was pretty subdued and after it went past and was ahead I pointed it out and the SO thought it was black. So if anyone is afraid of it being too bright purple don't be

Yeah, I've seen them on lots and such - its the angle, quality of light and the fact that the car is stationary and you are walking around looking at it, it changes as metallics do. I just was saying that in the context of it on the road on a sunny day among other cars it was a dark color. Purple highlights could be seen, I could tell it was a PH car, but overall the impression was dark with purple tones not bright purple rain/grape gum purple.

Aloha!

Choosing purple must be a sign of good taste....

...and a sign that we're willing to spend lots of time washing our cars.

AMEN!

And I've found that the California Duster works great on JIMI's butt, as long as it's not water-spot dirty.

Joining the party

This will mark my official entry to the BEP/PH group. I just placed my order for a PH/Black MCSc. Should go into production in Feb. w/delivery in March or April. I'm graduating from a 2003 IB/White MCS to a MCSc. Spring can't come soon enough!
