Yeah it sucks. It's actually first 1250 miles as of now I'm only at 435 and I've had her for almost two weeks now.

Thanks. Not really sure... The financial guy at South Bay suggested I join So Cal Mini Maniacs. I'm probably going to get through the holidays first and then research the possibilities. Any suggestions?

I got my Coop today. It looks awesome. I think the next 1250 miles are going to be the longest miles ever driven. I also tried to put a Thule rack on my car today to haul skis on my Christmas journey. That was the biggest pain in the rear. I read somewhere that it should take 10 min, it took me much longer. I also had Sirius installed. It took a long time after I activated it to work. Sirius said it should only take 30 sec to 5 minutes. I really like the combo FM, AM, and Satellite antenna.

I know what you mean... I've been watching my rpms constantly. But if you're going to be traveling for the holidays and going around town (the long way, of course), it's going to go by super quick.

Hmmm I guess I could say we're on the same page, no clue on what to join. Yeah I'll start looking at options as well, and I'll let you know what I find out. What city are you from? I'm from Upland.

Since my MINI doesn't have a garage to stay under, the little light SPRINKLING today left a NUMBER of dirt marks on the exterior. I don't think I've spent this much time cleaning a car in such a small time frame.

My financing guys name was Harvey and was a swell guy.

I'm from San Gabriel (near Pasadena). I think I can positively say that I'm the first one on my street with a MINI.

Sorry Upland is right above Ontario. Pretty far, especially since everyone I'm gonna take a guess is around LA. I've seen a good ten mini drivers around here. Have you gotten any mini waves yet?

NO MINI WAVES! I've waved at about 3 people... I'm thinking I should just open up the sunroof and stick my hand out.

Today, I was driving on the 10 in my parent's Matrix and spotted a PW/B MC with red bows on the bonnet and boot. I nearly died and wanted to start waving from the Matrix. I kept my cool though...

Hey everyone, just checking in. I just got back to Nor Cal after a trip to San Jose & a few other SF Bay Area visits. I've had the MINI for 12 days and when I got home tonight the odo read 1855 miles--WHEW!

Now that it's broken in I can report that a full throttle run from 4000 to 6000+ rpm under full boost is a BLAST!

Enjoy!

Oh, one more thing. Is anyone going to do the MINI Vacation in Vegas in March? Looks like a lot of fun. Here's the link for more info. I guess a couple of hundred cars showed up for last year's event. Check out the pics from previous year's events.

The MINI event in Vegas looks like so much fun, especially if that many MINIs go. I might need to start saving up and see if work lets me out.

I also need to get over with this break in period. I obviously haven't been motoring enough.

But I have been parking next to other MINIs and using compact spaces to the fullest!
