Just got off the phone with ASK MINI. Looks like I'm in the week 44 group! I've ordered a pepper white with black top and anthracite Cooper S. I opted for the premium and cold weather package.

Looks like my estimate is that around November 21st I may see my mini arrive at Mini of Peabody! Anyone else in the Boston North Shore area waiting?

Looks like we are in week 44, and just put the order in LAST WEEK...

I was leaning towards no order changes, stay with the OE headlight and away from the "space ray gun look with the robot washing arm".

Anywhooo, it's a done deal, scheduled for production on Halloween of 2005, no gremlins I hope, except friendly ghosts, of course. No further order changes. Thank you Downtown Mini, just put the order in last week when I passed on a Royal Grey because of the cloth seats.

Leatherette works best for a "family car", right?

ASK MINI thinks it could be here BEFORE Dec.

So here is my order, and already has a production date (K.I.S.S.);

Pepper White w/Black "top" and mirrors
Anthracite Interior
Grey/Black Leatherette
H/K
Multi SW.

$21950 MSRP + $299 Dealer fee (Better than HD, they ask for 499) + tax, tag, etc.

At least that's what the paper says, you may never know sometimes what happens when they get you in the "back room".

Have to be able to walk away if they start changing anything, probably won't, since it's an Order, but you never know???

Your car has JCW at the factory. The earliest the parts will be there is week 45. I hope that you do get week 45!

Delivery date

Some other week 44 sufferer was talking about being told by his dealer that he could have his car by Nov. 21! Does that sound feasible? I'm on the east coast, and my dealer is telling me early to mid Dec. - I would love to get my car by Nov. 21 - anyone else heard a date like that?

ASK MINI said the 3rd or 4th week of Nov. to me today, when I said East Coast and they said the port at S.C. for Fla. cars, maybe they just like to keep our hopes alive, eh?

I'm in Week 42 (no one else in my thread, for some reason!) & my dealer is saying 4th week of November.

But since I'm in Canada maybe that's not representative of anything for you guys. I'm in Toronto & I think the incoming port is Halifax.

Not confused Dr Diff

I called Mini after your post. They said that Week 44 will begin JCW production. So week 44 people will be the first JCW people unless you live on the East Coast where a week 45 or 46 could arrive before a week 44 West Coast JCW. If they are lying so be it. What can I do about it. I'm not changing my order. The factory option is cheaper than dealer installed and I get brakes and a slip dif.

so is week 44 10.31 - 11.4?

I read on the week 45 thread that someone thought week 45 was 10.31 - 11.4. Anyone with an idea of the official date? I just can't stand the wait anymore. I was driving my volvo R with the sunroof open and the windows down this morning, as it was 75f. I thought how cool a MCSC would have been with the top down.

I'm 90% sure that week 44 starts Oct 31. I talked to MiniUsa yesterday and she said that my car is due week 44, Halloween week...

My bad. I was originally told that week 45 was 10/31 to 11/4. Turns out that those dates are actually week 44. Imagine how frustrated I was when I realized it meant ANOTHER week to wait..

Thank god (or someone) - at least for the week 44 people. Drdiff, sorry about that, I would hate that as well. The dates I'm hearing for delivery of the week 44 cars (at least on the east coast) of Nov. 21 sound pretty damn good to me! I thought I would be waiting until late Dec.

The deliveries to Dallas take about 4 weeks from production. I'd figure that at least 3-5 days of that is on the road from the east coast VDC to Texas, so it is POSSIBLE to get your car before December begins. I'm hoping for that first week in December.

Here on the left coast (Seattle) my delivery takes much longer.

According to ASKMINI, it will sail around the continent and through the Panama Canal. Long time to get to California. I'm hoping "Nigel" will get here by my wife's birthday in January! That way I can call it her present!

Careful there, she'll probably believe you. I have a suspician I could end up in the VW wagon more that I wish myself, watching the COOPER skirt away frequently at the hands of my able and fast driving wife, OH NOOOO. She really hasn't protested this purchase very much, yet. hmmm?? We''ll see after I get the "call" that she is IN...

I was expecting the OL (owners lounge) to update me a bit more, but I just read a week 38 and 40 thread and discovered that it probably won't change at all until the car is well into the assembly process... Looks like their database group needs a swift kick in the ****.

Very true - Fedex can track a package that cost $15 bucks to ship seemingly by the second. You would think once the car has some kind of internal # (like a production #) that updates would be as instantaneous.

I do my best every night to keep the Purple Promise alive!

Let me count the scan locations. First scan is when package is accepted, then when it is placed in a can for the flight to the regional hub. Then when the can is off loaded at the hub, once at input, once at the matrix, once on output. Then the flight to the destination. Once again on off load. once again on input, Once on the truck and finally when they give it to you.

BMW/MINI meet my "Friends" at FedEx!

Calling ask mini...

So is ASKMINI open on weekends? I haven't had a chance all week to check on my status again and was thinking of trying over the weekend.
I would love it if it got here before Thanksgiving. We are going up to the Georgia/NC border over Thanksgiving to look at property to buy and I would love to take the MINI for a ride through the mountains!!! Oh well, if it doesn't get here then I'll just have to plan another trip, luckily for me it's only a couple of hours (or less ) away!

The folks at ASK-MINI confirmed the dates for me when I called a week ago... Week 44 is 10-31 to 11-4.

It has been 2 weeks of waiting on an estimated 8 week trip... 25% of the way there!

My MINI's scheduled "completion" date is Nov. 1st, according to the automated ASK MINI 866# as of today. Does that mean I'm week 44 or 43? Anyway, I'm excited, thought it was gonna be a little longer.

Happiness is having a VIN on OL

We've been out of town for a couple of days. When we returned today, I checked the OL and find that the status of our car is now "Sched for production", and a VIN is showing! Neither of those was there on Thursday!
