Production Week 44 Support Group - 10/31 to 11/4
2006 MCSC JCW; PW/BLK Roof
I have no name yet for my baby Mini. I’ve gone back and forth between Aiko (Ako or Fafi. Ako is from the Japanese Animation series Project A-ko. Fafi is a French artist that brings some twisted graffiti art to a respectable notoriety.
I’ve started making room in the garage for my new baby. I’m going out of the country for Thanksgiving so hoping that the car gets here after I get back. I like to see my baby rolled off the car transport truck!

Yah, looks like Wicked my '06 MCS PW/B is booked for Courage. They don't mention any dates on the tracking page, hopefully it is sooner than later!
Scheduled myself for two weeks of vacation, hopefully only a few of those are spent waiting for my mini

Vessel: UNDINE
Voyage: EX510-UND

Once it arrives in Charleston my questions are:
- How long does it take for my MINI MCSC/JCW to go from the boat to a truck? i.e. typical time table for customs, any port preparation, transport load
- Who is the trucking transport company, can it be tracked?
- How long with the trucking transport company take to get from Charleston to Houston, Texas?

Gareno,
Which interior did you order? I went with the Cordoba Beige Leather. I didn't realize how much Cordoba Beige I would be getting. I saw something similar to this color on the BMW E39 when I picked up my BMW back in 1999 over in Germany. They didn't offer the color combination at the time for the US configured BMWs. However, they went with with black carpet, and a mixture of the beige and black on the doors as well as the seats. I saw a picture somewhere of a Cordoba Beige leather where it looked like a lot more beige than a good 50/50 split between the two. I'm going to offsit the color a little bit with black mats. Two reasons to do that, 1. to tone down the beige, and 2. it will help with the dirt, etc.
Anyhow, I can't wait! So Gareno, where are you from?
No status change today. I guess the vessel pulls out in the afternoon?

Waiting impatiently
I'm in Lawrence KS. I bought from Baron BMW in Kansas City.
I got a MCS.
Pepper White/black roof mirrors, and stripes
Black cloth
Anthracite dash, and headliner
Cold weather package
LSD
Harmon Kardon
HIDs
Armrest
Trip Computer
Ipod adapter
I'm very anxious to get this thing. I've got more Mini parts collecting in my garage than I know what to do with. My wife tells me that I retarded for having bought 3 sets of wheels for a car I don't have yet.

Living in Texas I don't have to worry about changing wheels out for Winter. I have a friend who has a TT in Denver and he goes through that routine each year.
I haven't been collecting anything yet. This baby is toy purchase unkown around my household.
I noticed that the PW stands out equal to that of Red, Yellow, and Electric Blue. If Electric Blue had been available that would have been my choice. I almost went for the Cool Blue. I saw a few on the road and they blended in the crowd of other cars. If this is going to be a playful car, I want everyone to see it coming miles away. Hence the PW and the Xeon lights.

I just checked out the webcam for the Southampton port and it looks like it is on fire. I know it's the way the camera is working and the lighting, but it almost appears that there are a bunch of MINI fires. Say it isn't so!

My first car, the one with the wrong roof color, was just loaded on the Undine this morning... I've still got 2 more weeks to go before I'm back at this point!
The Undine was launched in 2003 and is making the trip to SC in 10 days... the fastest of any ship on the WW schedule. If you are interested, more info is here (along with some pictures of the ship when it was launched).

We are loaded and departed from the Port of Southhampton today, no problems, how is the weather out there?
I hope he isn't as susceptible to the queazies as I am on a big ship,
Batten down the hatches, keep the salt spray outside and the "rubber side down..." YIPPEEE...
