Delivery Day
While delivery day is a way off for MrsDiff and I, some of you it is just about here. Will your dealer let you take delivery on a Saturday?
The good folks at D&R say that they do not deliver on Saturdays. This stinks because this is the only day that MrsDiff and I can pick up the car together. (It is not practical for me to walk from Avon on the west side of Indy to the Keystone exit of the 465 bypass! Especially when I would have to carry two boys and two car seats!)
D&R says that they are required to have a tech on hand, and that their techs don't work on Saturdays. I don't understand why they can't prep the car on a week day and then deliver on Saturday to accomodate our work schedules (MrsDiff: M-F 11am-7:30 pm DrDiff: M-R/F 10pm-5am)

Yes, my dealer lets you take delivery on Saturday--I just ordered an MCS last Saturday, and watched in envy as a couple took delivery of a LY mini with aerokit. I see no reason why the car couldn't be prepped on a weekday, as you said, and picked up by the two of you on a weekend. I'd complain to miniusa...

Taking delivery of mine in the morning. Ralph Schomp MINI in Littleton, CO
Closed on Sunday but they do delivery on Saturday. Thankfully I live 300 miles from the dealer so getting off any day other than Saturday was impossible.
Pic up the PS/BK MCS in the morning....must sleep....will post pics.
