Mini Carrier

According to ASK-MINI our Mini is enroute. I have tried the WW website but when I insert my VIN it doesnt come up. Is there another Carrier Mini is using to send Mini's across the pond?

When using WW do you have to insert the entire VIN or just that last 7? I have tried both ways but to no avail.

I too have tried putting my entire VIN number in with no success. Any ideas? I sort of feel lost not knowing where my new toy is.

According to the nice voice on the phone at 866-Ask-MINI I should have it the last week of October.

If you're in SoCal, your Mini is probably on a NYK line or K-line ship, not WW. Unfortunately, they don't provide the same tracking capability as WW. You need to get the vessel details from your MA. Then you can try http://www.oceanweather.com/data/index.html, http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/search.phtml, and http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.aspx to locate the vessel. In my case, I couldn't the ship (Seijin) till it got close to the Panama Canal, and then I saw it on the aislive site. Could never locate it using the oceanweather and sailwx sites.

Also, you can use www.pancanal.com to see live webcams of the Panama Canal, and if you're lucky can actually spot the ship going through!

Sucks that us west-coasters have a harder time tracking our Minis, especially since we have to wait longer!

Meg from MINI-USA told me that it should hit SoCal land on/about Nov 1st. I thought I read somewhere that MINI started using another carrier and not WW.
I tried again on the WW website again as well as Kline but was unable to figure anything out.
Maybe someone else will chime in.

Anyone?
Anyone?
