Available Dealer Activated Options

So I, like many others, am about to order my new MINI :D

So i thought i could start a thread for all us soon to be owners that lists all the dealer activated options (daytime running lights, etc.) so we are all well informed and get all we can out of our MINIs on delivery day!

So how bout all you seasoned vets help us out and list the options and if you like or dislike them!

Take it to a MINI dealer, Preferably the one you bought from. Tell them that you don't want DRL. Bet yet is to tell them this before they get your car in!

UNLOCKING FROM OUTSIDE - Used to have the two stage unlock (driver's on first push, all on second) but that drove me nuts.

AUTOMATIC LOCKING WHEN DRIVING - I have this activated, but not wild about it. The wifey likes it. Don't choose this unless you also choose Auto Unlock on engine off.

CONVENIENCE OPENING MODE - Fun gimmick, being able to open the sunroof with the fob.

CONVENIENCE CLOSING VIA THE DOOR LOCK - Very nice if you've forgotten to close the sunroof.

FOLLOW ME HOME LAMPS - I think this is activated, but I never use it.

DAYTIME DRIVING LIGHTS - Yuck.

ACOUSTIC WARNING LOW FUEL - Had this turned on, just because. Makes the same chime as the frost warning and flat tire monitor

RAIN SENSOR SENSITIVITY - Changed from 'sensitive' to 'less sensitive', but that was back in May, and it hasn't rained here since.

Sorry - gotta disagree. If you've got a small car in a difficult color to see, the additional visibility of DRLs can always come in handy when the inattentive soccer mom piloting the Hummer decides to turn in front of you.

These lights aren't like the old Saturn DRLs that pissed off everyone within 3 miles. They run at reduced power, and just do a little bit more to help us stay alive.

I'm a motorcycle rider, and I use every little bit of extra visibility that I can so that folks see me. That same mentality holds over for the car too.

Watch out who you be calling a dork!
