Proud New Owner
I picked up my wife's 2006 BRG MC Wednesday nite. We traded our 2000 Civic SIR which sold off the lot in less than 24 hours.
I added a block heater and changed up the 15 inch tires for Nokian WR all weather snows. I've not made a decision yet on extended warrantee as the lowest price I've found is $2000 CDN for an additional 2 years with a list of exceptions a mile long ie only engine and transmission covered.

Hi Purple: You're right, of course, because I didn't know what CDN meant. I was just hoping Clo or somebody was endowed with more Internet "sensitivity" than the rest of us. Not really a conspiracy, but there's too much sci fi in my noggin.

Thanks for the compliment. That actor and I share the same first name. We were in the same room once and I was getting a tiny prize and he thought they were calling him. It was funny for a nano second but friends did not allow me to forget it. Something I remembered when registering on NAM.
When purple first came out I saw an MCSc one outside a vegan grocery and the owner was very cordial and delighted with her new car. It remains the only one I have ever seen. Best wishes.

Welcome
And yes, it's very hard to find an extended warrenty since BMW doesn't offer one...only 3rd party...and like you said, they are full of exemptions....just put the money in the bank, use it when you're out of warrenty or keep it if nothing goes wrong (yeah, like that's gonna happen).
Cheers
