Midwest Mini - How's the Service?

Okay, I'm starting to get cold feet. Haven't taken delivery on my 2006 Mini yet. After reading NAM regularly it appears that I'm likely to have to replace my windshield because it gets "sandblasted" during normal use.

Next I read lots of complaints about Mini/BMW dealer's poor service.

I love the Mini, but life is challenging enough. I don't need to buy a problem.

That said, I would be grateful for feedback from customers of Midwest Mini - Dublin, OH. What has your experience been with after the sale service?

Thanks,
DixieBoy

My MINI is still on the boat coming over, but I do have experience with MAG's service dept. MAG is Midwestern Auto Group, they are the owners of Midwestern MINI. My wife is on her second Audi A4 & she bought them both there & had them both serviced at MAG. The service has been good & although it's been the Audi dept that's serviced her cars I have no doubt that their MINI dept will be good also. I have a friend that has a 04 MCS & she's been treated well there. If your going to buy there I recommend MA Chad Simkins. He's a nice fellow & knows his MINI's.

Midwest Mini (MAG)

Thanks Crashton & good luck with your new Mini.

Any idea whether your friend with the '04 MCS has had windshield (pardon, that may be "windscreen" in Mini jargon) crack or pitting (i.e. sandblasted effect) problems?

Dixieboy,

My friend has just under 40K on her car. To be honest neither she or her hubby take very good car of a car as far as apearence goes. Even with somewhat harsh treatment her MCS still looks great. She's had no issues with her windscreen, or anything else for that matter. I hope I have as good of luck with my MCS as she's had with her car.

As far as windscreens go, every car I've ever owned has gotten a pitted windscreen over time. I drive where there are lots of gravel trucks spewing their loads as they haul down the interstate.
