No. Such. Luck.
Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday. It cleared the VDC Tuesday or Wednesday, just need a covered wagon heading the right direction.

Take delivery in the daytime, check the paint carefully!
It's a wonderful feeling to wake up and pick up your mini. Trust me, it's what I did.

So looks like I had my first MINI incident tonight. Was driving back from a friends place, start hearing this clickety sound, pretty sure its coming from the wheels, pull over in the nearest lot thinking it's something in the wheels.
It's a screw stuck in the tire, from the looks of it, its stuck in such a way that if I remove it, it will deflate the tire.
For now, I drove home slow and parked the car. Gonna call my MA in the morning and see what he suggests.
Any suggestions??

Briefly. This is way too much fun. Pick up went off without a hitch.
Runningman: Funny thing, we went through the paperwork, Randy went back to finalize things, and we went out to check out the car some more. Sitting at one of the tables (I hadn't gotten the keys yet). And two girls came up and started checking out the car.
I was just smiling. My wife was smiling. And this other sales man asks them if they were interested.
They said yes.
Salesman says, "Well, they've already bought that one."
Girl blushes and then says "Well something like it?"
Similar to your story, but these two were cute. Really cute.
Rav: Do you have runflats? Either way I hope it can be repaired.

What a mess though, called up a few places saturday morning to find a replacement.
Good year place said no patch, replace only, have one at another local shop, come drop it off sunday morning.
No reply from other shops.
Went in yesterday morning, guy tells me he doesn't have anyone to run in and get tire, come early tomorrow.
Go in at 7:30 this morning, different guy, he says let me take a look, so he does, it's right in the middle of the tread. Says to me, I am not gonna sell you a tire if you don't need one. Gonna patch it for about $30.
Whew! 30 vs. 260. Sure!
Update:
Well apparently Good Year has a 12 month warranty on the run flats, so they patched the tire for free! So if anyone with good years in the DC/NoVA area needs a shop PM me!

Well, it looks like my car FINALLY left the plant yesterday! Mine must be the last Week 50 car to be completed around here...
ASK-MINI has informed me that it should take about 1-2 days for the port to take delivery. Judging by your respective past experiences, how long might it take for delivery once it arrives to the port?
Ravana - Since your car was delivered to MoS as well, do you remember how long it took for the car to reach the dealership?
Thanks in advance...

mine took a few days, my wife's took almost a week (there was some BMW Corporate SNAFU with the new 3 series cars & a price change....the port was filling trucks up with 3's that were not even sold, while leaving customer mini's on the docks. This is from the NYC port to the Philly area. From what I understand, one of the guys at my dealership with some clout got on the phone & got her MINI on a truck with a quickness!
good luck!
good luck!

I'm glad they patched it Rav! Good to know they can for sure, I'd heard differing reports on patchability of the run-flats.
Got one airbag sticker off the visors. What a pain in the @ss! I'm debating about my Whalen order. I really like the size of the stock shifter. Hmm. . . maybe I should cancel.

Also if u have the goodyears, take it to a goodyear shop, they should be able to fix it for free under warranty within the first 12 months.
