I ordered a Black MINI with a delivery date of mid Jan. In a twist of fate I was in a car accident couple of weeks ago that resulted in my VW Golf being totaled. I had to secure a MINI sooner than anticipated so I called the dealer to inquire what they had on the lot. I went for a CR (versus black that I ordered) MCS with a white roof and mirrors. It had all the options as my ordered MINI except winter package and LSD. I'm disappointed about the LSD but I can't miss it if I never had it to begin with.

I LOVE THIS CAR. I can say without hesitation that this is the most fun I've had in an automobile this side of a Porsche. I've owned couple of Audis (including a TT LMS edition) couple of GTI (several others not worth mentioning) and nothing comes close.

I already ordered new wipers (PIAA) because the originals didn't seem like much.

welcome on-board, never had an Audi, family did, drove them, incl. an S6, owned bunch of v-dubs, nothing like a Mini cooper S

 

Welcome to NAM! Sorry to hear about not getting what you wanted. I was in a simaller situtation. My car was totaled and had to find anouther car ASAP. I had been looking at MINIs but didnt want to have a third car payment, but since we had to get anouther car and we found a used MCS in our price range, we jumped on it. It has all the options I wanted but it is LY/B which I was not thrilled about till I got to know the car. Now it is the only color I want. Unless I get her painted than she may look more like the one in my signature.

 

I second the motion. Most fun I've had in a car.

Hey Bumble..cool Bassett Hounds! We used to have one. He was great but every once in a while he would be going upstairs and let out a yelp. We finally figured it out. He had little legs and was..how shall i say this...well endowed..every time I'd hear him yelp I cringed...
