Ooh, can't wait to get home and see the pic of SweetTea and Stevie (instead of the red X here at work).
Picked up Maggie after work yesterday after being in the shop for 8 days. It was funny, I had to get used to everything all over again after driving the WRX for a week. How do I adjust the side view mirrors again?!?
New snow tires feel great and the full toggle bank with the rear fog looks much better. I was surprised that they replace the whole toggle bank instead of just adding a single toggle for the rear fog.
1,550 miles and counting. Schroth harness and Ian's auto-up circuit will go in tonight. I'll get to AutoX her for the first time on Sunday. Wahoo! My wife and son are going out of town for Spring Break on Sat. so I see some extended canyon drives for me in the next week and a half.

OK, I guess it is. No, I am now good to go with my 3 sets of tires (snow, summer and autoX). Maggie will naturally shy away from curbs now.

Long time no post.
Work has been massively busy have not had a chance to sit down and catch up reading all the forms.
Just a quick update "Cato" is just about at 1000 miles now. No time for any long drives yet just one from Tampa to Orlando and back.
I am getting 25 mpg and most of that is stop and go rush hour traffic every day back and forth to work.
The car is soooooooo much fun to drive.

I've been in San Francisco for a week now.....caring for my 1 and 3 yr. old
grandaughters while their parents are away. Even though I see Minis whereever I go.....yes, I do miss the Silver Dart. However, when I'm back in Philly next week it will be like having a new one all over again.
By the way.....after four years of membership in NAM this turns out to be post #601 which shifts me up into 5th gear. All right!
I hope everyone is having a great time playing with your new toys. It's evident that IVDB certainly has been spending alot of time in the sand box. Nice!

hehe. His name is Cooper
Jason - Grimace and I will be at the Dragon. Are you joining the big (no, HUGE) caravan that starts in Michigan and picks up people along the route to the dragon? I did it last year and it was a ton of fun. Its quite an experiece to see 40 MINIs in a line down the highway. I'll be going down Wed night & stopping part way.. in hopes of getting there early this year.
Planning on going to the Autocross on Saturday with a friend but otherwise don't have anything planned. Our MINIs should meet each other... they are siblings after all.
SweetTea - thats some impressive mileage! Has Stevie gotten his stripes yet??

So far, the plan is to leave Ohio sometime in the early afternoon on Thurs, so I will be missing the caravan :(.... Planned events are parade Friday morning, drive in Friday night, autocross on Saturday, and midnight run Saturday night. I have never been to the Dragon in any vehicle before, so I'm looking forward to this BIG TIME!!! I didn't make any reservations untill last night, but I was able to find a place in Robbinsville, not ideal, but I'm pretty sure I'll be ok with it. And of course, our MINIs meeting is a requirement for that weekend! I'm really pumped about the whole thing, and really looking forward to the autocross, I've never autocrossed my MINI or any front wheel drive vehicle before, it maybe a humbling experience!

I just went over the breaking period this weekend. Took me 2 weeks. I wonder do all MCS's have that huge supercharger wine that my JCW has that sort of growls when you run her over 4000 rpm and up to the 5000+ ..... it is so ..... hot and fun. I was just wondering if all MCS's made the supercharger grows and poping from the exhaust between shifts? FUN FUN FUN

Stevie is no longer naked.
Flew past 2,000 miles earlier today ... Stevie's stripes were put on last night.
We're going through typical spring Texas weather (rain), so had to take these pics in the garage. Apologies in advance for the poor lighting. Will do better pics when better conditions allow for it. If you can't tell, these are silver to match the silver roof.

Hello again guys!
SweetTea - I missed this before. Love the stripes! I like how you retained the U-shape but did a custom design. Very cool
A short Grimace update:
We hit 3000 miles yesterday.
On Wednesday afternoon we'll be leaving for the Dragon.
A friend installed H-sport springs for me just last night. I'll take some pics later and post a comparison of the stock ride height vs. now.
The real reason I posted here... I got my welcome kit in the mail yesterday! I got one with my first MINI so I knew what was in it, but it was still exciting and made me smile. Anyone else get theirs yet??
