Released to Carrier
Me, too. A nice ending to a crappy week.
So mine is sitting on the platform in Oxford, waiting for some form of transport to Southampton, then. Funny, I was just in the paint shop 2 days ago with a target of Sunday, and now I'm two days ahead of schedule.
DON CARLOS is scheduled to leave on the 31st, stil. Next comes the DON PASQUALE which makes a couple of extra stops along the way to Port H. I notice that each ship starts in Sweden, then Germany, Belguim, then Southampton. I wonder if my car will meet some nice Volvos and 3-series on the way.
Another interesting point: these ships are only in Southampton a day before settiung sail. I guess they just top off with a few MINIs; they're wafer thin.

My MINI just visited Halifax, Nova Scotia yesterday on her cruise to New York. I heard that she did not take advantage of "shore privileges" but stayed in her stateroom....
I searched desperately for a webcam of Halifax harbor to see Elektra coming and going - but the excellent one I found did not include coverage of the "auto port" there... Oh well....
One more week....

Not sure which week I am in ...
Well, I was told by ASK-MINI (live person) and my MA that I was scheduled for Production Week 4 (week of 1/22/06) ... so I posted in this thread a while ago.
Even though my MINI entered production (according to my MA) on 1/20 at 5:55 AM, the scheduled completion date I am now getting from both my MA and ASK-MINI (automated) is 1/31. Today, the automated system at ASK-MINI says that I am in the paint shop.
So that means that I should move to the Production Week 5 thread, correct? Isn't the thread based on scheduled completion date, and not Production Week schedule? * confused *
Also, could someone post the website for determining which ship I am on?
Thank you, fellow motorers!

I too am waiting at the port for my ship, this waiting is really killing me. It appears that the next boat going to west coast is the DON CARLOS, has anybody been able to find it on any tracking systems? I have been to the WW site they indicate is going to Belgium from Germany right now, but I have been unable to find it. Does anyone know it's call sign? How do I find out a particular ships call sign?
Thanks,
Shane
Thanks,

ditto that Sweet Tea
I too was scheduled to begin my build on 1/23 with a completion date of 1/31 - so I guess we're kind of waffling between build weeks 4 and 5. I notice my VIN # is 12 higher than yours yet I'm still in the "body shop" - practically the first step I believe. Will be interesting to see how this all comes out - meanwhile I'll work on my two favorite pastimes: distraction and patience!

Fingershooter:
The tracking sites don't seem to track ships once they get near the English channel and definitely don't track when in harbor. Seems the best bet is to watch the WW site (http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...esselSearch.do) and enter your vessel name. You get to see the ship status change as it leaves ports. I share your anxiety as I was looking forward to catching the Liberty on 1/27 (my car was released for transport late 1/25) but when I was assigned a ship on 1/26, it was the Boheme (leaving 2/1). Just hanging out for almost a week in port is killing me - have lost my enthusiasm!

How did you find out which ship you were assigned to?
