1st mini

went from a Caddy STS to a mini...
so far, so good.

question-
drivers side exterior mirror seems warped or something (not 'objects re closer than they appear' thing)...it like everything is wavy; could this be a defective mirror? makes me motion sick to look into it...

Can you capture the effect in a picture? Daytime, light out, no flash, window down - should be able to see it I would think.

I don't have mine yet, but do not know why the mirror waould do that kind of thing (maybe it'll turn out to be the window?).

SLW123,

Welcome to NAM Caddy to MINI Great

Mirror should not be warped. Go back to the dealer and look at some others and if it is a problem then have them replace it.

Yep,
Sounds like a defect. My mirrors and windows are all clear, and I haven't heard of this with other minis either. However, I did have a feather embedded in the paint from the factory in mine! (re-painted under warranty). Hopefully yours will be an easy dealer replacement.

I've never noticed this or heard of it either...which means it might be something to bring to the dealer's attention. If you swing by the showroom (or hit a MINI meet) maybe you can check out other MINIs just to prove to yourself (and anyone else) that the condition is unique and/or a problem.

No probs here....gotta be a defect. Take it back and have it fixed under warrenty.....it must be quite a change to go from a barge to a gocart.
