Greetings.

Seriously considering a new MINI S: BRG, 6-speed, LSD, front/rear fog lights, multi-function steering wheel (to get cruise control mainly) and on-board computer.

Will have to order the car this way, I guess, because of the several MINI dealers I've visited (MINI of Pleasanton CA and MINI of Concord CA) all I see on the lot/showrooms are loaded MCS (hardtops and convertibles).

(On almost everyone of the window stickers on the MINIs at Concord, I noticed a Market Value addition of $2699 (or something close to that number). I don't think so...)

Anyhow, all I have to do is dispose of my '02 Golf GL TDi and then find my car on the lot or more likely order it. (I'm keeping the Porsche...hehehe)

If anyone would like to share their experiences ordering a new MCS I'm all ears!

Sincerely,

RockC.

We also live in NorCal but ordered our car at South Bay Mini in Torrance CA (MSRP, quick prod date when we ordered). They had quite a large stock on hand so you might want to give them a call, as well as Longbeach, which is also a good place from what I hear here on NAM.

Yep, u don't have to pay over MSRP. Might have to go out of state but no worries. MINI dealers that support this site are used to dealing with you poor putupon CA customers.

Cheers

and remember that the plant is closing this month (or possibly alrady is) so if time is a concern might be better to look for something in stock at a non-local dealer
