Can this be right?

My car apparently entered assmebly today and is scheduled for completion tommorow. I asked the guy at 866-ASK-MINI how long it usually takes to get on a ship. He said usually 4 to 5 weeks to ship to the dealer after completion. Does it really take that long? My dealer has me under the impression I only have 3-4 weeks left (as of LAST saturday). I am on the east coast in Maryland. Any thouhgts?

It may sit waiting for a ship for 3-7 days, count on 11-12 days for the sea voyage, 2-4 days at the VDC, and 1-3 to get to your dealer. Enjoy tracking your baby!

Ugh. The thought of up to a week wasted..... POO!

Looks like the worst case would be 4 weeks perhaps? I suppose thats not too bad.... all things considered. I just can't wait. Those poor west coast peeps! I don't understand why they have to wait so long. Well, I guess I'm off to waiting again. Lord this stinks. On a higher note.... it will be getting war outside the day I pick "her" up. Shes a girl! I can tell already. Hyper blue MCS, premium, sport and cold weather packages. White roof with white bonnet stripes. 17" webspokes..... black leatherette and anthricite interior. Got the LSD too. God I'm going to scrub those tires down fast.... Now I just need a name......

Doeswnt surprise me. I've noticed the OL lags behind a bit. Amazing that after the paint shop they put that whole damn car together so fast!

YEp.. it supposed to take 24 hours to get from the Paint shop to completion provided there are no production line delays.

It's funny how fast they put it together but let me have to change the radio and it takes me the better part of a weekend .

On a sad note.... the ship tracking hasnt been updated since December. There goes half my damned fun!

I've been looking at the ship tracker like 5 times a day. So far havent looked in all most 48 hours.. i'm trying not to be overly obesesive on it.

www.sailwx.info will not show updates until your ship is around 150-200 miles off the coast of England. It will not show ship traffic in the English Channel and the ships stop updating when they get around 150-200 miles off from the US coast. You can try this site :
http://www.aislive.com/AISLivePortal...opDefault.aspx

You have to register to really see anything on this site but some folks in the week 4 support group raved about it.

If your ship is in port at Southampton, try this site:
http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/com/smovements.htm

You can watch the radar shot of your ship leaving harbor (you can find the arrival time and departure on this site).

Have fun, I obsessively tracked my little red dot across the ocean.
