Congrats...you made a ship after all! Your ship is leaving the Port of Southampton in 5 minutes, look towards GB and wave it out of the port! Which port is your MINI being discharged at, NY, Brunswick, Charleston or Baltimore?

Suzannne, thanks for the update! It's going to the Hamptons, so i'm assuming NY but i'm not sure if they all go to the VDC in SC or not. BTW, i remember looking at your photos a while back as I'd wanted PW/PW for the loooongest time! I must have collected every single PW/PW photo. such a classic color. I agonized over the color combinations and finally decided for DS/S since that's a combination that's particular to the U.S. I believe. I mean, the mini looks great in all colors...

Yeh! Its in final assembly!
The nice mini people said it should be done today and will be at the port by the weeks end. Now I have to begin trolling to start seeing what ships will be departing Wed and onward for the east coast!! I am so excited. We are planning a weekend trip out to the Hamptons to go pick it up. I am going to start looking at beach front hotels

When I checked it said this:
RECEIVED AT TERMINAL 06/04/2006 00:00
BOOKED 05/04/2006 23:59
but there has been no update. I am starting to get a little nervous that my car is going to take much longer than expected.

The only thing I know is that whatever boat my mini gets on will travel to Port Charleston, SC from South Hampton. It looks like the next ship out of SH is Integrity so I HOPE it makes it on that ship.
The WW website has nothing for me- still says that the VIN number doesn't exist when trying to track it so it hasn't been booked. Boo!! Well, hey, at least it'll be beautiful outside by the time I get it - I guess that's a plus!

Well the Orion Leader has come and gone from Southampton and there are several things that could be "sticky" about this situation:
- The Southampton Vessel Movements site listed its destination at Las Palmas (Spain!), contrary to the NYK representative to insisted it was bound for the US West Coast - Port Hueneme
- I will have to wait for my MA to provide me with the bill of lading to get info about my MCS possibly being ON the ship at all
- My MA was so 'green' he didn't know what a bill of lading was when I asked him - hopefully he does his homework
- If I'm on the boat, no way to track it except for calling NYK every other day.

I saw that integrity is leaving on the 14th to head for the east coast. I don't know if that helps. I'm hoping that's the ship I'll be on.
