If you got that info from the auto-response when you called Ask MINI you may want to talk to a Live Person. Mine has been in the Paint Shop according to the auto-response since Saturday with scheduled completition of May 3. When I called today and talked to a Live Person he said that the car went to Final Assembly on Saturday and would be finished on May 2.

While I was sleeping.....
Apparently my MINI has been built and is awaiting transport. Now to figure out which ship it will be on enroute Port Hueneme. The only (minor) dissappointment is how close I was to having a yellow MINI. Missing by one day seems unfair, but I am sure I will be happy with the more traditional CR/W.

Just talked to a Live Person at Ask MINI. My MINI was completed yesterday so I have an official build date of May 1, '06. The car is on its way to South Hampton.
Interesting note - the Auo-response at Ask MINI was saying as late as Noon today that my car was in Final Assembly and would be finished tomorrow. You really need to talk to the Live Person to get up to date information.

The automated voice just told me "Production is complete, waiting to be released to the carrier."
I need to call my MA and talk about tire options, vehicle programming, and money stuff. Oh yeah, I'm going to have to come up with $22,000 somewhere.
I've already started waving at (other) MINIs on the road. They always look perplexed when the geezer in the BMW or the Porsche gives them a smile and a wave.
Edit: How do I figure out which boat I'm on?

The MINI Owners Lounge online finally changed and now shows my car as "Awaiting Transport".
The auto-response at Ask MINI now says "Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. There is no shipping information available at this time."
According to the WW schedule at http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/portList.do
the next ship for NY is the Courage on Saturday May 6th. Hope my MINI makes it.

I also agree with that. I usually talk to someone at Ask MINI 2 times a day. Not to mention CONSTANTLY being on NAM. Good thing my work is slow this time of year. You will get your car much sooner than I will get mine, since I am on the West Coast. You will be motoring and smiling long before my car ever makes it to the dealer, let alone the port.
