After almost a year and a half on NAM...I'M OFFICIAL!!!!!!! (bought a MINI)

This has been in the works for a couple months, but I kept quiet about it because, well, most of you know what happened last time. For those of you that don't, I ended up with a Saab. I figured if something similar happened this time I would at least spare myself the shame. Lol

So anyway, now I have one. I'll hopefully pick it up this weekend. Here's the spec's if anyone is interested:

2006 MCS
Chili Red/White
white bonnet stripes
leatherette interior
premium package
sport package
cold weather package
iPod adapter

I was planning on waiting for the '07...but I just couldnt do it. Also, the Saab isn't going anywhere...so I have two toys now. My little bro is 16, and he'll be driving the Saab as his daily driver. He was about to order a Scion tC,so this is a bit better for him, and safer.

I'll post pics when I get it

A bit better? Scions are taxis. Saabs are jets. Jets win.

Well....brand new $20k Scion vs. year old $30k (when new) Saab...I guess it would come down to preference.

Haha, pepper white was up there! CR, HB, and PW were tops

I ALMOST ended up buying a DS/B off the lot a month ago, but waited a bit and got what I wanted.

Weirdo. Can't make decisions for himself, so he has to get what everyone else has. "Mike what wheels should I get?" "Mike what roof should I get?" "Mike what toilet paper should I use to wipe my ________?" JK JK LOL Kyle that's awesome! U said on the phone ur getting it Friday right? Sweet. Wow Kyle every option on that car seems to be exactly like mine. Hmmmm... Just razzin ya my friend. So your mom didn't make you get a Kia Sedona after watching Dateline last night? LUCKY. "Oh those MINI thingies are unsafe Kyle they only got a good rating instead of Super Duper five bagillion stars like the Jet."

You kept quiet about this? WHHHAT?

Okay now that I got my sarcasm out of the way for the night...

Seriously man that's pretty neat. You'll always remember the day you picked up your MINI. It's awesome. Im sure you'll especially enjoy it since you have been waiting for it for so long. Now you can truly enjoy the motoring experience and get to experience first hand what we have been ravving about on here. Im sure while this isn't exactly what you wanted, I think you will still enjoy the car as much as if it was exactly what u wanted. Being around here for a long time before buying I think will turn out to be a good thing, because you have learned extensively about the car, things to get, things to avoid, things to look for, not only that you have constantly gotten to bounce ideas off expert members such as myself, Clo, and Chows. Whatever you do though, always, always, always, peel out in the parking lot of the dealer before you leave. That is a must. JK Remember Speed Racer there is a break in period you have to go through before you can start those redline shifts, and get tickets...

AWESOME. YEEEEEEEEAH.

Mikey

Kyle, as to the peeling out of the parking lot, remember, you have to break in not only the new engine, but the new tires, as well. No sudden moves for the first 300 miles, sweetie! Now, try to sleep as you await taking delivery!

I was just kidding Clo... Most importantly get it home safe, I would hate to have you wait such a long time only to have your awesome day ruined by something that could have been prevented.

Peace

HAHAHAHAHA, amazing post. But seriously, the toilet paper you recommended was great, very soft.

Anyway, I'm going down Friday to finalize everything, not sure if I'll take it home then, or go back down later in the weekend.

AND, it is EXACTLY what I wanted..I was always unsure of the roof color...white? no black? white? hmm?....lol. So anyway, the car is perfect. You have good taste.

And I did keep quiet about this to the people of NAM, you dont count

Anyway, thanks "Puka" (that's what my friend named her poodle, lol)

Persistence pays off! Congratulations!!!

But I must admit to a bit of disappointment, Kyle....

Are you SURE you don't want even just a wee little bit of NAM input on the color....??
