Do we have a location on the honjin? I can't seem to find it anywhere!!! If you have any info, please let me know. We'll have to see if we can track it until the canal and then we can have a web-party to watch the boat go through the canal!! What do you say?

Yes, I think that it will be coming in overnight. 03:00 I believe is 10PM EST.

I will double check with the port and maybe even go down, nah, it will be too dark....Either way the cars will be off the boat by 8PM.. hopefully

ok, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the ship on the list for June 1st? I'm looking for the Honjin? I see a few HANJIN ships, but that's a whole different company.

Am guessing I am on the same ship (finally!!) cos the nice automated voice at 1-866-ASKMINI says I am "in transit". Thank heavens!! Can I join the Panama Canal party, please?

It's Here!

The Owners Lounge still says I'm "enroute" but my MA says she's on a truck and should be at the dealer tomorrow! They have to check her over and put on the roof graphics, stripes and invisashield. Says I can pick her up Friday! I'll be motoring on Memorial Day! Now that I'm this close I'm almost afraid to get to excited. I've had a rotten month so far and I'm afraid something could go wrong. Nahhhh! Gotta stay positive.

Anybody else about to deliver?

All I could get from my MA at MINI of Sterling was that the delivery date at the miniusa isn't always accurate and that he will call me when it gets there. He just doesn't seem to share my excitement.

West coast folks, I feel your pain. I believe that being forced to wait so long for a mini is a form of torture and should be outlawed. >.<

Exact words from my MA's e-mail:

MY QUESTIONS:
I just wanted to check on the current status of the Mini. I called
866.ASKMINI and they said as of the 16th of May, the Mini was awaiting arrival of a boat to begin its route to the U.S. Do you have any further information as to which ship it's on?

ANSWER:
"Ship still has not set out.

We don't get that kind of info as to what ship it on."

pretty "intersting" response since our ma told us what ship, when it sailed and what appears to be the booking or b/l number....

That sucks. I think some people's MAs just aren't as excited as the people buying the MINI's! Mine hasn't provided a heck of a lot of information for me, which kind of sucks since I'm ordering from a dealership 3 states away in order to get a car before next year. :impatient

I'm in the same boat! Wasn't taken seriously in Vegas so I went elsewhere. Although I saved some cash, the guy doesn't seem very interested in my purchase. Pretty disappointing to be honest. but I guess once I drive the car home, who cares...it won't be going to him.

Guess I won't know what boat it's on or when it'll hit port

Funny....Owner's Lounge says "en route"

I take that as if it's on the boat...I'm happy!

Dunixi: Who's your MA at Sterling? I should be picking up my MINI anyday now (I'm in week 18), but I've had a lack of response from my MA there (like, no phone calls to update me on ANYTHING unless I call first).

That would be Jeff. He has always handled any request I have made but has never contacted me unless in response to a question. He hasn't mentioned anything about programmable options for instance.

Jeff isn't my MA, but I know exactly how you feel. My MA even told me that when picking up my MINI, I would be in and out in less than thirty minutes. Which seems awfully short to me. . .

Where did you place your order from?

Any news on the location of our ship? I can't seem to plot it so I assume that you all are having the same trouble?

[quote=goldcountrymini]Where did you place your order from?

I'm ordering from MINI of Murray in Salt Lake City. I placed my order about a month ago and my car's already made and on its way to the west coast. As opposed to Northwest MINI in the Seattle area, who told me I'd be able to get one ... next year. And that it would be an '07. I'll let someone else work out the kinks in the new model, thanks

pancakex, did Murray of SLC have a markup at all? Are you driving down to get it or having it shipped to you?
