For those of us on the Auto Banner, the schedule has changed slightly:
----------------------------------ETA ----------------ETD
Jacksonville-------------- 27.07.2006------27.07.2006
Panama Canal------------31.07.2006------01.08.2006
San Diego-----------------09.08.2006------09.08.2006
Port Hueneme------------09.08.2006------10.08.2006
Remember that the dates are European style dd/mm/yyyy
I left spaces between the columns, but it keeps squeezing together,

nbame and Red Fish, I'm jealous you're getting your cars so early! My MA says "You'll get it sometime next week; I don't know when yet." Aah! :impatient
And I'm selling my Integra tonight/tomorrow morning so I'm carless until Logan gets here. I want him _NOW_! Fortunately hubby is being wonderful about getting me to/from work for the next few days...

Loan Rates
Let's talk about loan rates again.
HPUdrew (post #155) said he found financing for 3.9%! The best I can find in our area is 6.2% for 60 months. But our credit union has "rate matching" so if we can find a better rate, maybe they will match it. We have really good credit so that's not a problem.
Any help out there from Prod Week 28 crew?

Congrats Red Fish!
Checking the WW site - the Manon has sailed from the first NY port and is en route to the 2nd where my Mini will be discharged. Well, I guess I'm kind of assuming that it will be discharged there, since it's not listed as being discharged yet. I hadn't realized before today that the Manon would be making 2 NY stops - anyone know anything about this?

Thanks for the good wishes.
GreenRacer, the Courage spent 2 days in NY, too -- the first where the Manon is now, the second further west in the harbor, in Elizabeth, NJ, I think. (Not that I was checking obsessively, or anything.)
The MINI was offloaded on day 2, but it took a few days for it to be listed as "discharged" on the WW site.

Loan Rates
The best I was able to find was 5.75% for 60 months. Not too bad I guess.
I was doing some math last night.
25,000 loan / 60 months
5.75% interest rate = $3825.10 total interest
6.00% interest rate = $3999.23 total interest
6.50% interest rate = $4349.20 total interest
The point is, you're only out an additional $524 when you compare 5.75% versus 6.5%. Interest rates are not as important as they are when you're buying a house. You've got to find a rate that's at least 2% lower to see a big savings.
Anyone else wanna share their interest rate? (or do you all pay cash!)

Plus, looking at Courage's cruise schedule, it only shows one stop in NYC. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Still no word from my MA on when I get my car...argh! I sold my Integra yesterday, so relying on "the kindness of strangers" as they say (OK, coworkers and my husband, but I couldn't resist the urge to quote Streetcar) until Logan arrives.
At least my MA assures me that contrary to my paranoid beliefs, my car made it just fine to the VDC without event or injury...
Gromit, all I can think about is your quote. I want Logan NOW! Now, now, now!
