Hi, I am new to this forum. I will be a proud Mini owner in about 8 weeks. It is supposed to be a surprise for me and I'm not supposed to know a thing about it. I left out the printout of my dream car that I made on the MINI website and it looks like the car has somehow been ordered for me.

JCW MCS in Space Blue with the English Panther seats. I really wanted Cool Blue, but that awesome colour is only available if you get a vert.

I'm very excited about my new Mini as it is the first Brand New car I will have bought in 20 years.

Any Mini happenings in the Mid-Atlantic area?

And its funny, I wanted the Space Blue, but it doesn't come in the Convertible. I went with the Hyper Blue instead.

I bought my car off the lot, and color was secondary to me, I didn't realize at the time I had gotten my favorite color, it grew on me and my other preferances I realized were quite common choices; so now my MINI stands out and looks great.

Spend as much time here as you can while you wait, it's the only thing that makes it a little more bearable. It will be worth it in the end.

If only I had the funds.. that is a really good-looking option. The dark interior with anthracite headliner and black panther leather. Yum!

 

When I first started looking for a new car, and I was checking out MINI's, I sat in both seats, the sport and the stitched panther, and my back told me immediately that the panther was the way to go. As much time as I spend behind the wheel, keeping my back happy is priority one!

You are going to love a JCW MCS and Panther leather. Just got mine a week ago! It replaced an '03 MCS that I also loved. Hey, you waited 2 decades for a new car, a few more weeks won't hurt!

 

Hey Folks,
Just picked up mine today - MCJCW ChiliRed with White top. Been waiting for what seems forever. This must be a second middle-age crisis. I owned a 1960 Mini Minor (55HP - 75mph) and then a 1965 Mini Cooper (76HP). Then my new bride and impending family changed all that fun.
Now I'm back - this version is sooo comfortable and sophisticated compared to the 1960 with sliding front windows and the barest necessities, no aircon, no power brakes or steering - just compare today's seats to the thin versions we had to live with - still I loved that car.
Hope to be meeting some of you experienced NAM folk soon.

 

I just saw that my MINI is now "scheduled for production" for this week. A bit later than I was originally told. I am still excited though.

Unfortunately, my ever-faithful jeep has overheard that there is a new member coming into my automotive family. Just after placing my order, my electric auxilliary cooling fan is going bad.

Can we say "jealous"?

Welcome, your line is a lot shorter than mine - I wont get a production start date for a couple of weeks.

Waiting is a sweet torture - haven't had this much fun in a while.

I'm expecting to take delivery end of July/early August and have already registered for the last two legs (D.C. to Jersey City, NJ to Lakeville, CT).
