Lounge has bad info on order, anyone else?

Hooray, I ordered my Dark Silver & Silver MCS yesterday afternoon!

Got my production number in the email today and went to sign up at the Miniusa.com owner's lounge. When I entered the PN, the web site told me that I'm getting a red car with the wrong options.

I called the guy at 866-ask-mini and his computer had the correct colors and options.

Anyone else run into goofy information in the lounge car-tracker? Was it resolved after a few days?

Thanks! --doug

Thanks for quick lounge answers

Hi again,

Thanks for the quick information! I'll check back at the lounge in a few days. I feel much better now about actually getting the silver, stick, etc.

I just ordered my MSC last week. When I first logged on to the lounge, it said I had a BRG Mini Cooper. *eek*

After 2 days, it had the correct order. Fortunately, my dealer gave me the heads up to expect this so no worries.

My Mini changed color too but it was for real. Luckily I caught it & my MA was able to change it back to the correct color before it went into production

The way it works is that each dealer is allocated monthly production that is pre-specced. The pre-specced vehicle has a production number in the computer and as people place orders, these pre-specced cars are replaced with the ordered vehicle. It takes the online system a few days to get updated with the changes.

I don't think our 2006 Cooper ever showed the right specs, but they did make it right. . .

I started my log on about two days after my order (even though my MA said wait 5 days). LOL. After 3 days, my order came up correctly.

To all U NOOBS Out There, Three Words:

The Lounge Blows

It always has, it always will. Everything takes a snail's pace to update.

If U want updated info, call the ASK-MINI toll free line, or your MA,

But if U rely on the OL, you WILL be disappointed....

Oh and welcome to NAM. We don't blow, at least most of us anyway....Jimbo

This is the MINI tradition! To check your info in the Lounge, be shocked when it is incorrect, call your MA, post about it on NAM, be reassured by those of us who've been there. It will be correct in a few days. If not, be sure to have your MA fax your specs to you for future reference.
