My baby's just been built, and is sitting at a port somewhere waiting for a loooooonnnng boat ride.

I've seen references to having a dealer adjust the running lights programming, annoying double-pull to unlock & open programming, and things like that. Can anyone give an overview of the car options that can be adjusted, selected, or deselected, either by the dealer or by me fiddling around with the trip computer? Also, are such adjustments free services provided as part of the normal pick-up or service-visit process, or is it a special and/or expensive thing?

the list is failry comprehensive.

I would opt for everything except the auto locking after 2 minutes. I do a lot of Inner city garage parking and would hate to get a call one day saying the key is locked inside the car.

 

I would be cautious also about convenience opening. Numerous cases reported here and on MINI2 of owners finding their cars with windows open.
