Financing?

Anyone seen/heard anything about MINI offering 0% financing like the domestic manufactures are offering.

Probably just a pipe dream.....

I guess that's what we get for ordering one of the most popular cars available.

Supply and demand....

My local mini dealership gets their financiing through Chase.

They quoted me a rate of 5.9% for 5 years...
I found a quote of 5.19% through capital one... MINI went to chase and they are matching it...

not much of a deal thorugh MINI if you ask me. I recommend CapitalOne.

How did you find a rate of 5.19% for five years?? The lowest Capital One rate I found for five years was 6.25% (it's on their website, here: http://www.capitalone.com/autoloans/...E_C1_02_T_ALNU)

Wait, so you can get your loan that far in advance before you get your car?! Even if you have two months to wait?!? I thought they only gave you 30 days or something like that... Ugh, thats going to really annoy me, since they keep going up and Ive been waiting because I thought it was only a 30-day window!

30 day window is the norm. I stressed pretty bad too my last 4-6 weeks, and I was to lock in my rate right at the 30 day limit. Nature of the beast. JB

It depends on who you're getting your loan through. With my credit union, I'm locked in for 90 days.

Capitalone told me my loan was good for 45 days. I was casually looking for a used mini and ended up getting a new one. Luckily, the turn around for mini's on the east coast is roughly 4 weeks or so.

else i'd be buggered

I've recently gotten my loan approved by my credit union (offered a better rate than cap one) but i haven't discovered how long i've been able to lock it in for... so when you put in the order at your local mini dealer, what information can you give to your crediting agency?

Yeah, my credit union had a REALLY great rate of 4.99 AND a $75 gas card, but it expired May 31st, and could only hold for 30 days... I was really miffed

However, they said they may offer it again at the end of Summer, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed since I expect my MINI around mid-September...

At least I was able to give the info to my parents who got that rate and the gas card on their new MINI

Not going to happen. See http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...25/012597.html

GM and Ford doing it because they are selling cars at a loss. They have to move money around to pay for the payouts, etc.

MINI is probably rolling in dough.
