Oil Change?

I'm about to change my Oil on my Mini S 03. What do you guys recommend for Oil and Oil Filter? How many liters? When do you guys change your oil? Thanks.

1. Mobil 1
2. OEM
3. 4.7L
4. Every 7,500

Hows that for "to the point."

Good info, question though, any good places to get the OEM filter or do you have to go to the dealer?

Dealer is where I get mine.

Just in case you didn't already know, a 36 mm socket is used to remove the oil filter housing.

How do you reset the computer after the oil change?

Here's the deal with the oil counter.

If you are due for a service and your MINI is still under warranty then I would recommend NOT reseting your counter, however, if you are past warranty the only reason to reset the counter is to not have your service/oil milage indicator go into the negative numbers.

It really is just to help you decide when is best for your oil change.
