how many miles were on your MINI when you took delivery?
we should be picking our MINI up this week and i am curious about how many miles it will have on it. it was a new order. theoretically it should only have a few miles on it. i'm sure they drive it on and off transports, drive it to various checkpoints at the VDC, etc.
the thing that got me wondering was a post i read (can't find it now) where the poster said her new MINI had 14 miles on it. is that alot?
another thing... if we are all ordering our MINIs new and it is very rare to go to a dealer and just buy one off the lot. whose MINIs are we test-driving when we go to a dealership? i know when we went to test drive a car once, the MA had to pull the plastic off the seats and everything. the car was brand spanking new...
just curious..
thanks & happy motoring!

When doing the purchase and sale before my MINI got to the dealership, I had to sign a paper that said it was OK to have up to 25 miles on my MINI. That seems like a lot! But the sales guy assured me no one could use it for a test drive at the dealership--that would just be if someone at the VDC decided it needed an "extended test" for quality control purposes.
I can just imagine--"Hey, here's a sexy one. I think it must need an 'extended test'--don't you?"
EDIT: Hey, this post brought me to 3rd gear!
