Please, Leave Your MINIs at Home...
... until I get mine.
For some reason MINIs were out on the road in full force today. Must have been the nice weather that lures them out, and I'm thoroughly jealous, envious, and resentful that I haven't gotten mine. Damn the wait!
Am I the only person-in-wait who feels this way when another MINI is spotted on the road?
Hope all is having a nice weekend!

Be strong, powerband....your mind is simply fallen into a temporary hallucinatory state. You didn't really see all those MINIs, but were merely projecting a fantasy of your own car. It's a natural condition, especially among those who spent a great deal of time in the MINI-configurator.
The cure?....wave at the MINIs and smile. Embracing your MINI-mania is highly recommended...these bouts will naturally subside once your MINI arrives when the object of your fixation is sitting in your garage. Direct visual contact will remove the need for your mind to create hallucinations.
Problem solved!!!
Dr. Phil may have an opinion on this, too.

In fact, last week I finally awoke at 1am with MINI on the brain and cannot get back to sleep -- it was like the kind of chewy and stretched-out dream that one would get while having a fever in bed. Does that certify me as a MINIac?

And that chewy dream of yours does qualify you as an official MINIac now! Congrats!

See why I couldn't wait and had to take from dealer stock.

Also another idea is practice getting lost (or drive til all other cars dissappear), and refilling the tank at the 1/2 way mark so there's always plenty of gas to motor. Prepare a spot in the garage to sit and stare at your MINI at 2 am when dreams of motoring prevent sleep. Plan out your break in route that will vary engine speed and driving styles. And most importantly perfect your own unique wave so you''re ready when pther MINIs pass by.

And yes, I too go nuts when I see one on the road!

Wait, there's no loitering policy at your dealer?
Seriously, this is a very bad sickness.

It took 5 hours for all the inital paper work, then I went back weekly for free car washes, and many minor service issues (I've got a long list of warranty details that most people would over look including me on past cars (all happened between 25 and 33K been fine since, nothing critical or major) almost he wole group knows me and they all recognize me. Even the BMW folks service (they handle the free washes) and sales, just cause I'm over there so often. I actually haven't had to loiter, but I do pop in every once in a while to say hi and chat.
