Hi from Bellingham WA

New MINI owner here and I wanted to say hello! I'm a total car nut and can't get enough of the new car. Always looking to take the long way home. Any other north Puget Sounders here?

Everett close enough?

Check out Puget Sound Mini Motoring Club http://www.psmini.org/ for lots of Northwest MINI owners and activities...

MINI owners in the Puget Sound area participate in several events sponsored by the Puget Sound British Automotive Society ( http://www.abfm.com/ ). We also have joint events with the MINI club from Vancouver BC and the Seattle area classic Mini group (SAMOA). I have not seen much effort to integrate with the BMW groups. We are having an event this Sunday sponsored by NW MINI - membership not required. Come on down if you can make it...

Howdy from Texas. My wife and I spent a year up there (actually lived in Lyndon). We loved it, but missed the family and moved back to the Lone Star State.

I went to WWU in B'ham from 96-00, and returned to Seattle after that until I tired of the rain and steep real estate and recently moved to Austin. Bellingham is great though, and great roads for the MINI.

I'm on San Juan Island! I'm in Bellingham about once a week (daughter attends WWU and must feed starving college student ) though we generally fly rather than ride the ferry. Tell me what your car looks like and I'll wave if I see you. Mine is '06 HB/B MCS with "Size XS" plates, though I'll probably be in our "airport car" which is a '93 white Ford Explorer 2dr.

Thanks for all the info! I'm in an Astro Black MCS with a body color roof. I've waved to a few MINIs already around town. Very fun!

Though not currently a WA resident, I did live on Camano Island for 21 years. Finally got fed up with the weather and moved to sunnier climes.
Chuckanut Drive ought to be a hoot in a MINI! Assuming, of course, that it hasn't been washed out again.
Congrats on the wise purchase. You will have many miles of fun!

Hi from Anacortes!
I went downtown last night for a fun Saturday night at the Brown Lantern, and my MINI was the third one to park within 2 blocks.

Anacotes, Bellingham.... I miss that area. Lived in Mt. Vernon back in 97. Then Portland four more years. Made the move back to Nebrasaka and well I am still here. May make a road trip to the NW soon.

Hello All,

My lil' Mini "Regy" and I have been motoring around Whatcom County for a few years now and have seen the numbers of the mini family in the area grow quite a bit since 2002. I haven't seen any organizing in this immediate area really, but I have joined with another mini owner to start up a mini club if anyone is interested in joining in. Any excuse to get together and plan some fun social events is a good one for me! Perhaps we can get a little mini dragon of our own going in this area down the road (no pun intended *wink*). Its nice to meet you all and I hope to see some of you in person soon!

All the best and safe motoring!

I'm in Seattle and have a daughter in Bellingham. I go up for Dream Science Circus events, because well...she is in it. Awesome show, if you get a chance to see it. They will be performing in Anacortes in Aug.

That sounds very interesting Liafia, perhaps you can tell me more about it sometime (I'll see what a little research of my own can produce too). Thank you, and thank to soul embrace for the warm welcome also. If you guys are ever in town, just let me know ahead of time and maybe we can grab some java/tea/fruit smoothies or whatever you'd like. I'm up for mini family reunions no matter how... shall I be corney and say it... hmm... yes! Mini! ^_^

Welcome to NAM! From a former NW'ster. I lived in the Puyallup, south Tacoma area for about 17 years, but I've been gone now for quite a while, too. I really miss the Northwest, even the weather! We always wish for something other than what we have! Best wishes with your new MINI. Enjoy the twistie mountain roads!
