Any tips for winterizing my mini?

This may be a silly question, but i was wondering if there's any hints, tips,or tricks to getting my mini ready for winter. Although i do have another vehicle for driving, i don't have a garage to keep the mini in. Since it may be sitting for some small periods of time, I was just seeing if there's anything special i needed to do/or should do. Thanks!

Rules are the same for any car. If your MINI is more than a couple years old, you probably know to check the protection level of the antifreeze. Other than that (and the stuff you check year round) I would recommend putting on a coat of quality wax. It may be a while before temperatures allow another opportunity.

Once winter arrives, just be sure to wash off any road salt ASAP.

Move down here to South West Florida. It might drop to the 40's once or twice, and you will have a problem keeping out the sand from the beach .

and no need to buy snow tires...

In the warm months you might have been shopping for non-freezing windshield wiper fluid, or you might have bought the bug-dissolver stuff. Now's the time to ensure you have the non-freezing type in there.
