Dealer Installed Accessories

I selected some dealer installed accessories when I ordered my MCS. I should be taking delivery in the next couple of weeks. I have now changed my mind about these accessories, as after reading these boards, I believe I can purchase and install them myself much cheaper than what it will cost me at the dealer.

Has anyone changed their mind about getting dealer installed accessories after ordering them? Is it as easy as saying you don’t want them any more or do they try to pressure you into them?

I’ve contacted my MA but have not heard back yet.

Sure did! I read how easy it is to install the AUX input and decided I wasn't going to pay then 200+ dollars to do it! So, I called my MA and told her I wanted to order the cable package but was going to install it myself. So, she said no problem, subtracted the install cost off our price and just left the cable in the bag when we picked up the car!

We had them install the upgraded sport chrome exhuast tips (they threw the install of that in for free) and they installed the security system becuase that seems like a b*$ch to install!

My MA wasn't offended and quickly said "sure no problem we'll just leave the cable in the car and you can install it yourself".

Depends what the accessories are. Dealer installed also means some of the stuff is installed at the VDC. If it's already been installed at the VDC, it's yours.
