03 cooper transmission problem

1st time on this forum. I have an 03 cooper with 48k and suddenly I can't shift into 5th or reverse gears. the stick travels ok but no 5th or reverse??? anyone out there that can help. thanks, mark88.5

I also have a '03 MC, with 61k, and was experiencing noises with bearings. While waiting for the local transmission shop to receive parts, my tranny locked in the middle of the roadway. The tranny wouldn't shift out of neutral. I even tried pushing the car out of the roadway, but wouldn't move an inch.

Get into the dealer ASAP. MC's are known for tranny problems. You should still be covered under warranty.
