Another new comer
By way of introduction, I'm on the verge of ordering a 2007 MCS, still agonizing over a few details like Bluetooth and whether to wait for the factory navigation system. The picture from the configurator shows my current ideas. NAM has already been very helpful; thanks for all the accumulated wisdom!

Good Luck with the deciding -- the options are the hardest part -- next to the waiting, that is.
Lots of info on the options you are questioning. You might want to check on MINI2's forum as well. The R56 is on the streets there -- EU/UK so they will have real-life experience.
Best of luck with everything!!

In the queue, almost
Well, I put down my deposit last evening for the new S.
After a lot of internal debate, I decided to go for the factory Nav (yes, expensive, but I like the way it's integrated into the center speedo, and real time traffic info seems like a real plus here in the NYC suburbs). This means I'm really just in line to get into the queue for a March build, when the nav system becomes available, so I still have until mid-to-late February at least to "fine-tune" the order details and generally harass the dealership.
Looking forward to it,
Alan
