Stupid Pulley Question
This is probably a stupid question.. but here goes:
How can you tell if a MCS has had it's pulley replaced with one that makes more boost? I've been out car shopping and drove a 2005 MCS that seemed a fair bit faster than the other 05 & 06 MCSs I've driven. But it looked stock to me. What should I be looking for?
Thanks!

You can look down on the side of the engine, where the belt is.
The SC pulley is the "top" pulley.
The stock is black and has no bolts in the side of it.
All of the aftermarket pulleys (that I have seen) have small bolts in the side of the pulley (thats part of the attachment system) Could be 3 4 or 6
Sorry I dont have a photo of one handy but look at the vendors and you will see a photo of what you are looking for.
most are aluminum color, some red, some black.
That would proably help you but you won't know what SIZE (15,17,19)
No such thing as a stupid question ... only if you ask it 3 or more times
Welcom to NAM
Happy shopping

03BRG,
You're too kind! It's a lot of fun, but not a cold weather car. I don't get to drive it nearly as much as I'd like. That's why I seek the MCS... Which, last time I got in one, tromped the pedal and cranked the steering wheel seemed like a very real car too.!
rrudorf,
Wellllll I could (and would) but, the car in question is at an Import Auto lot. and I get the impression that while they like the MCS, they don't know a lot more than I do about it than I do. (which isn't a lot! - but thanks to everyone here one the board, I'm learning quickly).
