I got him!
Well, after several agonizing months, Jayne is finally here! I'm so excited!
Took a little longer at the dealer than we'd planned for, so I didn't get him home until about 10:15 last night. And I was so anxious I had to take a Xanax in order to force myself to get some sleep. Woke up an hour early just so I could take the leisurely way to work. (For those of you in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, that Valley Circle behind the Chatsworth Reservoir is the twistiest north-south road around, I think!)
I didn't even look the through the owner's manual and other stuff last night because I knew I'd be up until four in the morning wanting to check out all the features!
Jayne is quite the unique MINI because he has both the CWP and PFM. I called the dealer at the last second to add CWP, but she forgot to remove the PFM, and appararently there is no conflict as the configurator would have us all believe. It's a vast conspiracy of some kind, I'm sure!
Anyway, hopefully I can bill a few hours today. But I'll probably spend the day driving everyone in the office up and down the hills in Calabasas.
I'll take pics tonight!

Congratulations! You sound blissfully happy and very excited
*bow* you're a stronger and more disciplined person than me ~ my first night with my new baby I was laying in bed like this ...kept getting up to go out and see her (the "is she really mine?!" complex), laid in bed reading the Owner's Manual and poking the huzz, waking him from his slumber to announce, "she does this, and This, and THIS too!!"...I tried hard to figure out a way to explain taking a blanket and pillow out to sleep in/with her. That was a long night I tell ya.
Happy motoring!

Newbie as well
I just picked up my mini last night after starting the whole process last september! Ordered in December but had to wait until the March production run since the Jan one was only going to be automatics... who wants to drive an automatic mini? That's not fun! Anyway it was hook, line, and sinker the minute I walked into the dealership and saw my new Oxygen blue baby... a little nervous to see it in person but it is amazing. I had the same urge to keep running outside to stare at it.

Jayne Cobb
Serenity reference maybe? If so, that's pretty cool -- I was doing some searching for a name for my own MINI and came across this thread.
