I couldn't wait for the 2012's. So, I bit the bullet and found one about 120 miles from home. Equipped with most of the options I wanted minus the Nav. Nothing a portable gps and craven mount cant fix . My 2 y/o twins named my car "Shadow". We love riding in Shadow and how much better on gas it is compaired to the SUV we traded in. I just need to tint the windows and swap the long remote control car looking antenna for a stubby. I'm enjoying every minute!!

My mini is a maxi....
I have my Mini - Max, the countryman - since May, and I am still having trouble getting used to the size. Its huge compared to my old 2006 (space blue with white roof) model. And the gas mileage and the "pick-up" (sprintability) on pull outs is not nearly as good. I did not get the S version of the CM as I did not have the S version of the MINI..... I really needed a 4 door, but miss the MINIness of my MINI!!!!

The Blue Bomber has arrived
Well, after 9 LONG weeks, the BlueBomber is finally here. Arrived at the dealer 5/31, and I took delivery 6/4. It's everything I hoped it would be, and I am enjoying every minute of driving it. This weekend, I took it on the first long trip, (over 400 miles, 70 - 75 MPH cruising), and I was able to get over 32 MPG, which I thought was great. Better yet, it's ALMOST as fun to drive as my Miata, and gets BETTER mileage. Not a rattle or squeak yet, and the adaptive lights are a great option to have. As far as the cost is concerned, the car listed for $34,960, and I paid $33,390. A discount of $1,560 off of list. I thought that was great for a car ordered exactly to the specification I wanted.

Is that Surf Blue? Ours should be arriving at our dealer any day now!

Yep thats the surf blue. the dealer did not apply my white racing stripes right away, and I will go back and have them applied later this summer. at first I was not sure I wanted racing stripes... .... i'm not the racing type..... at 60, but as I have seen others with the stripes, I am changing my mind. any opinions on whether 60 yr old grannies should have racing stripes???

Met Ji-Hoo at the MINI dealership last Saturday! Oddly enough, he had just gotten there that past Monday. Talk about spook-eh! Initially, I had hoped to find a Countryman in white with a sunroof, but Ji-Hoo was just too handsome! ^.^ I decided to go with the name of a character from a Korean drama...just to be different
