Lookin' good Tacoman - I like the scuttle treatment and the blacked out headlight rings. Did you do the same for the tail lights?

They may be under JCW in the configurator or if it's not there, they will need to update it for 2012. I saw them in a separate brochure at the MINI dealership. It had a bunch of aesthetic accessories from the John Cooper Works branch of the brand. Looks like you can get the sport stripes in white and/or black.

bentyyc, those photos are sweet. Nice! I need to get out and do a photo shoot too. It's on my list!

For now, this all I got. The car is only a few weeks old.

The sport bonnet stripe is (was) in the configurator under accessories. The rest of them come from the separate catalog. The killer on the deal is that everyone charges differently for them (base price plus installation). Some dealerships take extreme advantage. That's one reason why I gave up and went with the standard stripes.

I got the dealer to throw in the labor. It came with the bonnet stripes and 3m over it, dealer took it all off and put the sport stripes and new 3m on for part of the negotiations. Just had to buy the vinyl

Really like that color combination, even with the overcast weather. And, please let us know how the SD performs, sounds, etc.

How do you find the CM comnpared to the X1? I looked at the X1 briefly before buying my wifes V70, I went back and looked again before I ordered my CM.

Well, the CM is a bit more spaceious except for the boot, road noise a bit higher and the first impressions felt like the CM was a bit tighter in the suspension. I've only driven the CM for 5 minutes so better comparison will follow.

The X1 is a 23d that I've driven daily for 1 year now and is my partner in crime to and from work on twisty roads. Will need some more time in the CM on those roads to match them up.

Love the 23d engine and I think I will feel the CM as under powered but hey, the wifey won't complain!

Is that the Crystal Silver CM. I have a very similar model on order and hope to take delivery by the end of the week. Nice to see what it will look like rather than the MINI configuration pictures.

I bet there will be a more powerful JCW SD, it would be pretty easy to turn up the wick to the full fat N47 which is used in the X20D models BMW's.

Nope, that's the light white one!
