That's great! Cut a deal with GoBadges to mass produce and all the Pure
Oranges can display their pride.

Why'd the mods pull down the Smurf graphic I posted in the "Post your pictures of your Smurf Blue Countryman" thread?

I bet it's considered copyrighted material. You know how those lawyers like to smurf as soon as they feel their rights are violated.

I don't see a © symboy anywere on it, the artists name is on it so he's getting credit for it and it was found via google search so that's out the window.

Could it be I hurt someone's feelings?

Nah. CM owners have thicker skin than that, Right?

Just because it doesn't have the copyright symbol on it doesn't mean it's not copyrighted material. Think about how easy is it to remove a symbol using Photoshop or other software - that doesn't suddenly make it go from copyrighted to non-copyrighted!

Anyhow, this is speculation. But it's a pet peeve of mine when people assume that just because they found it on the web, that it can be freely distributed/reproduced. Intellectual rights are still valid, and can be legally upheld in a court of law.

I put the higher resolution image in my gallery - see if you can work with it.

As far as the Smurfers, from personal experience - some people are extremely sensitive to copyright issues. To put Dilbert in a power point I signed an agreement that limited the size of the audience, the number of times it would be shown, and forbid reproduction in handouts - 3 electronic viewings only. And I paid.

Oh geeez, copyright infringement of a smurf image. Maybe that explains why the black helicopters have been hovering over my home the past few days. LMAO.

Btw, Nice design Sealy. I work with a foundry if you are interested in casting badges let me know. I think your design is HOT !

Seriously, the car still looks red to me under natural lighting.

You should consider doing a gif file that have the image flicker back and forth between red and slight orange.

You should use a blood orange as the background. Still an orange, but red on the inside.

No animated GIFs, no blood oranges. We're keeping it pure and simple.

Mike - Higher resolution is in my gallery. Feel free to borrow.

Thanks all!

Now your picture looks as red as any I've seen - funny how the car takes on such different looks in different lights.

I've decided to redefine the color of my car - it is now "Lava Red"! I like the connotation of heat, flowing, nature, etc.! And I think it's an accurate description!

Nice! It is a super cool color and lava red is a perfect description. There is a recent pic under Countryman Photos of one and it truly does look like lava. You should name your CM, Lava!

Just for the fun of it, and in case you missed it, the first MINI Countryman off the production line was a Pure Red justa:

This is from the MINI Countryman Backstage site.
